Established in 2019 by the UAE’s leading construction conglomerate, ASGC, iBuild provides turnkey solutions that include fully integrated and advanced design and build value engineered construction solutions. ASGC is a vertically integrated corporation established in 1989 and has grown progressively during the last 3 decades. ASGC owns the majority of its supply chain with 10 subsidiaries each specializing in specific construction services and products allowing ASGC to utilize mostly in-house resources, giving it a high degree of control over its projects’ life cycle.

Emad AzmyPRESIDENT& EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Mr. Emad Azmy is one of ASGC Group’s founders and brings more than 30 years of leadership and executive management experience to ASGC, making it one of the largest construction groups in the region, with offices in the UAE, Egypt, UK, and mega projects spanning across several countries in the Middle East and Africa.

Mr. Azmy has received numerous awards and recognitions. He holds an honorary Ph D from Heriot-Watt University of Edinburgh, Scotland and has been featured in the Construction Week Power 100 list for the last many years, ranking the 3rd most powerful person in construction in the UAE in 2019.

Mr. Emad Azmy started his career with Egypt’s largest contractor at the time, The Arab Contractors, right after he graduated from the University of Asiut in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.

Mohamed Saif Bin ShafarCHAIRMAN

Mr. Mohamed Bin Shafar is the Chairman of the Board and one of ASGC’s founders. He is a retired Major General of the UAE Armed Forces and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a Master degree in Military Science.

In the 1980’s, Mr. Mohamed Bin Shafar envisioned a construction company that could support UAE’s ambitious development agenda. An important part of his vision was a vertically integrated construction group that could handle all aspects of construction including MEP, steel, joinery, ready-mix concrete and pre-cast elements.

Over the years, the Chairman’s vision has been realised and ASGC is now the pre-eminent construction group in the UAE.

Mr. Bin Shafar is the Executive Director and Vice President at ASGC. He is directing the company to achieve the organizational growth and its strategic objectives.

He has over 15 years of experience in civil engineering, contracting and real estate development. He started his career as a project manager at ASGC and was responsible for the overall supervision of some of ASGC’s most prominent construction projects.

Mr. Bin Shafar holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Southern California, United States.

Mr. Bishoy Azmy is the Executive Director and CEO at ASGC. He formulates corporate strategy and steers ASGC towards the achievement of its vision. He has been a MENSA member since 2000. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of Engineers of the American University in Dubai, an associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a member of the Young Presidents Organization (“YPO”).

Mr. Azmy graduated from the American University in Cairo with Highest Honors degree in Construction Engineering. He also holds an EMBA from the London School of Business, UK and a Masters in International Construction Management from the University of Bath, UK.

Mr. Al Sayyah is a Non-Executive Director and one of the founding shareholders of ASGC. He supports and facilitates high-level strategic planning and governance, and provides advisory and consultative services.

Prior to his entrepreneurial success, Mr. Al Sayyah served in the banking industry for over 35 years, in roles with HSBC and Standard Chartered Bank, and has held executive management positions with firms such as Gulf & Levant.

He has a particular interest in the development of human capital, including significant involvement in the UAE’s Emiratisation program.

Sherif GendyGENERAL MANAGER

Mr. Sherif Gendy is the General Manager of iBuild, he had joined the ASGC Group’s operations team in 2003 and has played an essential role in driving the company’s success through his operational excellence skills.

A graduate from the Assuit University in Egypt with a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, he also holds a Master of Science in Construction Project Management from Heriot Watt University.

Mr. Sherif has a vast experience of over 18 years in the construction industry. He has been critical in delivering iconic projects such as Dubai International Airport Expansion, Mohammed Bin Rashid Library, City Walk Residential, Bay Square, among others. His exemplary leadership and business strategy skills have been essential in delivering values to the clients.

Mr. Sameh Fam is the Managing Director of ASGC. Mr. Sameh has over 25 years experience in the construction industry across the MENA region. Mr. Sameh has been working at ASGC for 15 years and through his project management and operations skills ASGC has delivered landmark projects, including the Dubai International Airport Expansion, Etihad Museum, Mohammed Bin Rashid Library, Vision Tower, Jumeirah Beach residence, among others.

Mr. Sameh graduated from Cairo University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree (1995) and also holds a Master’s in Construction Project Management from Heriot Watt University, Dubai, UAE (2015).

Protecting the environment for generations to come is important and the majority of our projects have achieved LEED and ESTIDAMA accreditation. LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is the most widely used green building rating system in the world. Estidama is a building design methodology for constructing and operating buildings and communities in a more sustainable manner.

In line with our culture of care, and Zero Harm environment we also undertake activities to enhance the physical health and mental wellbeing of our employees. This includes the provision of professional medical care, regular health surveillance and information programs designed to help educate the organizations work force on healthier lifestyles, as well as the provision of sport and recreational facilities at our worker accommodation, as well as our almost famous iBuild annual cricket contest with nearly 100 teams entering.

ASU has a strong track record of successfully completed government and private projects, and has successfully gained a reputation from execution of prestigious projects. The MEP expert has carved out a niche for itself in the MEP Construction Industry. Its excellence is well recognized through the repeated clients and its listing among the top MEP contractors in the UAE. ASSENT is one of the region’s leading companies in the field of structural steel design, engineering, fabrication, painting and erection. ASGC Egypt was founded in 2009. It was formed to extend the construction and infrastructure services based on the growing demand for mega construction projects in Egypt.

Valiant Clinic is a premium multi-specialty outpatient medical clinic in Dubai offering world-class expertise. It provides a new standard of healthcare, with a focus on wellness and preventative health. ASGC was appointed by Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects to construct phase 3 of Dubai International Airport expansion works. The project involves construction of three separate buildings with the largest covering an area of 548 sq m, plus an electric substation, a horse-washing area, security kiosk and workshop, together with ground service equipment maintenance, a unit load devices maintenance building in addition to external works. In addition ASGC was awarded another contract to build the EK line and FZ maintenance facilities.
