1.1 Children and vulnerable people safetyWARNING!Risk of suffocation, injury or permanentdisability.

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8years and above and persons with reduced physical,sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experienceand knowledge if they have been given supervision orinstruction concerning the use of the appliance in asafe way and understand the hazards involved.

• Children between 3 and 8 years of age and personswith very extensive and complex disabilities shall bekept away unless continuously supervised.

• Children of less than 3 years of age should be keptaway unless continuously supervised.

• Do not let children play with the appliance.• Keep all packaging away from children and dispose of

it appropriately.• Keep detergents away from children.• Keep children and pets away from the appliance when

the door is open.• If the appliance has a child safety device, it should be

activated.• Children shall not carry out cleaning and user

maintenance of the appliance without supervision.

1.2 General Safety• Do not change the specification of this appliance.• If the tumble dryer is put on top of a washing machine,

use the stacking kit. The stacking kit, available fromyour authorized vendor, can be used only with theappliance specified in the instructions supplied withthe accessory. Read it carefully before installation(refer to the Installation leaflet).

• The appliance can be installed as freestanding orbelow a kitchen counter with correct space (refer tothe Installation leaflet).

• Do not install the appliance behind a lockable door, asliding door or a door with a hinge on the oppositeside, that would prevent the appliance door from beingfully open.

• The ventilation opening in the base must not becovered by a carpet, mat, or any floor covering.

• WARNING: The appliance must not be suppliedthrough an external switching device, such as a timer,or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched onand off by a utility.

• Connect the mains plug to the mains socket only atthe end of the installation process. Make sure that themains plug is accessible after installation.

• If the mains power supply cable is damaged, it mustbe replaced by the manufacturer, its AuthorisedService Centre or similarly qualified persons to avoidan electrical hazard.

• Do not exceed the maximum load of 9 kg (refer to the"Programme chart" chapter).

• Do not use the appliance if items have been soiledwith industrial chemicals.

• Wipe away lint or packaging debris that hasaccumulated around the appliance.

• Do not run the appliance without a filter. Clean the lintfilter before or after each use.

• Do not dry unwashed items in the tumble dryer.• Items that have been soiled with substances such as

cooking oil, acetone, alcohol, petrol, kerosene, spotremovers, turpentine, waxes and wax removersshould be washed in hot water with an extra amount ofdetergent before being dried in the tumble dryer.

• Items such as foam rubber (latex foam), shower caps,waterproof textiles, rubber backed articles and clothes

or pillows fitted with foam rubber pads should not bedried in the tumble dryer.

• Fabric softeners, or similar products, should only beused as specified by the product manufacturer’sinstructions.

• Remove all objects from items that could be a sourceof fire ignition such as lighters or matches.

• WARNING: Never stop a tumble dryer before the endof the drying cycle unless all items are quicklyremoved and spread out so that the heat is dissipated.

• Before any maintenance operation, deactivate theappliance and disconnect the mains plug from thesocket.

2. CONDITIONS OF USEThis appliance is intended to be used inhousehold and similar applications suchas:• Farm houses

• By clients in serviced apartments,holiday apartments and otherresidential type environments.

3. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS3.1 Installation• Remove all the packaging.• Do not install or use a damaged

appliance.• Follow the installation instructions

supplied with the appliance.• Always take care when moving the

appliance as it is heavy. Always usesafety gloves and enclosed footwear.

• Do not install or use the appliancewhere the temperature can be lowerthan 5°C or higher than 35°C.

• The floor area on which the applianceis to be installed must be flat, stable,heat resistant and clean.

• Make sure that there is air circulationbetween the appliance and the floor.

• Always keep the appliance verticalwhen it is being moved.

• The rear surface of the appliancemust be put against a wall.

• When the appliance is in itspermanent position, check if it islevelled correctly with the aid of a

spirit level. If it is not, adjust the feetaccordingly.

3.2 Electrical connectionWARNING!Risk of fire and electricshock.

• Connect the mains plug to the mainssocket only at the end of theinstallation. Make sure that there isaccess to the mains plug after theinstallation.

• The appliance must be earthed.• Make sure that the parameters on the

rating plate are compatible with theelectrical ratings of the mains powersupply.

• Always use a correctly installedshockproof socket.

• Do not use multi-plug adapters andextension cables.

• Do not pull the mains cable todisconnect the appliance. Always pullthe mains plug.

• Do not touch the mains cable or themains plug with wet hands.

• This appliance complies with theE.E.C. Directives.

3.3 UseWARNING!Risk of injury, electric shock,fire, burns or damage to theappliance.

• Do not dry the damaged items whichcontain padding or fillings.

• Only dry fabrics which are applicableto dry in the tumble dryer. Follow theinstructions on the fabric label.

• If you have washed your laundry witha stain remover start an extra rinsecycle before you start the dryer.

• Do not drink or prepare food with thecondensed water/distilled water. It cancause health problems to people andpets.

• Do not sit or stand on the open door.• Do not dry dripping wet clothes in the

tumble dryer.• Oil-affected items can ignite

spontaneously, especially whenexposed to heat sources such as in atumble dryer. The items becomewarm, causing an oxidation reactionin the oil. Oxidation creates heat. Ifthe heat cannot escape, the items canbecome hot enough to catch fire.Piling, stacking or storing oil-affecteditems can prevent heat from escapingand create a fire hazard.

• If it is unavoidable that fabrics thatcontain vegetable or cooking oil orhave been contaminated by hair careproducts be placed in a tumble dryerthey should first be washed in hotwater with extra detergent -this willreduce, but not eliminate, the hazard.

3.4 Internal lightingWARNING!Risk of injury.

• Visible LED radiation, do not lookdirectly into the beam.

• The LED lamp is dedicated to drumlighting. This lamp cannot be reusedfor other lighting purposes.

• To replace the internal lighting,contact the Authorised ServiceCentre.

3.5 Care and cleaningWARNING!Risk of injury or damage tothe appliance.

• Do not use water spray and steam toclean the appliance.

• Clean the appliance with a moist softcloth. Only use neutral detergents. Donot use any abrasive products,abrasive cleaning pads, solvents ormetal objects.

• To prevent damage to the coolingsystem be careful when you clean theappliance.

3.6 CompressorWARNING!Risk of damage to theappliance.

• The compressor and its system in thetumble dryer is filled with a specialagent which is free from fluoro-chloro-hydrocarbons. This system must staytight. The damage of the system cancause a leakage.

3.7 Service• To repair the appliance contact the

Authorised Service Centre.• Use original spare parts only.

3.8 DisposalWARNING!Risk of injury or suffocation.

• Disconnect the appliance from themains electrical and water supplies.

• Cut off the mains electrical cableclose to the appliance and dispose ofit.

• Remove the door catch to preventchildren or pets from becomingtrapped in the drum.

• Dispose of the appliance inaccordance with local requirements

6. WI-FI - CONNECTIVITY SETUPThis chapter describes how to connectthe smart appliance to the Wi-Fi networkand to link it to a mobile devices.By this functionality you can receivenotifications, monitor and control yourtumble dryer from your mobile devices.To connect the appliance to enjoy the fullrange of features and services you need:• Wireless network at home with

internet connection enabled.• Mobile device connected to wireless

network.

Minimum requirements:Operating systemcompatibility iOS 9.3/Android5.1 and above. Install theElectrolux Life app, createan account and accept theTerms and Conditions andElectrolux's Privacy Policy touse the connected features.Stable Internet and good Wi-Fi connection with 2.4GHzwireless frequency isrequired. Minimumrequirements, apps andservices are subject tochange without notice.

6.1 Installing and configuringElectrolux LifeWhen connecting the tumble dryer to theapplication, stand near it with Your smartdevice.Make sure that your smart device isconnected to the wireless network.1. Go to the App Store on your smart

device.2. Download and install App Electrolux

Life .3. Make sure you started a Wi-fi

connection in the dryer. If not go tothe section below.

4. Start the application. Select thecountry and language and login withYour email and password. If you donot have an account, create a newone following the instructions inElectrolux Life.

5. Follow the instructions on the App forthe appliance registration andconfiguration.

A message appears on the appliancedisplay to confirm that the configurationwas successful.

6.2 Configuring the dryerwireless connectionHave Electrolux Life downloaded andinstalled on your smart device.1. Press the on/off button for a few

seconds to activate the appliance.2. Select a programme by turning the

programme dial.3. Press and hold Remote touch

button for 3 seconds.The text pop up for about 5 secondsand the icon starts flashing andwireless module begins starting up. It

may takes about 45 seconds before it isready. When the wireless module isready, the text (Access Point) is onto inform you, that the access point willbe open for about 3 minute.4. Configure the Electrolux Life app on

your smart device.5. If the connectivity is configured,

(Access Point) symbol is off and theicon will stop blinking and litsteadily to confirm that theconfiguration was successful.

Every time you switchthe appliance on, theappliance takes 45seconds to connect tothe networkautomatically. When theindicator stopsblinking the connectionis ready.

To switch the wireless connectionoff,Press and hold Remote touchbutton for 3 seconds until the firstacoustic signal: appears on thedisplay.

If you switch the applianceoff and on again, thewireless connection isautomatically off.

To remove the wirelesscredentials,Press and hold Remotetouch button for 10 seconds until thesecond acoustic signal: appears on the display.

6.3 Remote StartWhen the App is installed and thewireless connection is complete, you canstart and stop a drying programmeremotely by activate remote start.

The Remote Controlactivates automatically whenyou press the Start/Pausebutton to start theprogramme, but it is alsopossible to start a dryingprogramme

Activate Remote Start1. Press the Remote button and the

indicator appears on thedisplay.

2. Press the Start/Pause button toactivate the Remote Start.

The indicators appears on thedisplay. Now it is possible to start theprogramme remotely.

Deactivate Remote StartPress the Remote touch button andconfirm by pressing the Start/Pausebutton.The icon is off and the remote start isdeactivated.

If the door is open, the Remote Start isdeactivated.

6.4 Over-the-air updateThe App may propose an update fordownloading new features.The update is accepted via App only.If a programme is running, the Appnotifies that the update will start at theend of the programme.During the update, the appliance shows

in the display.The appliance will usable again at theend of the update, without anynotification about successful update.If an error occurs, the appliance shows

in the display: just press anybuttons or turn the knob to return tonormal use.

8. OPTIONS8.1 Extra AnticreaseExtends the anti-crease phase by 30,60,90 or 2 hours at the end of the dryingcycle. This function reduces creases.The laundry can be removed during theanti-crease phase.

8.2 Dryness LevelThis function helps to increase drynessof the laundry. There are 3 options:• Extra Dry• Cupboard Dry• Iron Dry

8.3 Time DryYou can set the programme duration,from a minimum of 10 minutes to amaximum of 2 hours. The requiredduration is related to the quantity oflaundry in the appliance.

We recommend that you seta short duration for smallquantities of laundry or foronly one item.

8.4 Time Dry on WoolprogrammeOption suitable for Wool programme toadjust final dryness level.

8.5 Time Dry on Drying RackprogrammeOption suitable for Drying Rackprogramme .You can set the programme duration,from a minimum of 10 minutes to amaximum of 2 hours. The setting of theduration is related to the quantity oflaundry in the appliance.We recommend that you set a shortduration for small quantities of laundry orfor only one item.

8.6 End AlertThe buzzer sounds at the:• cycle end• start and end of the anti-crease phase• cycle interruptionThe buzzer function is by default alwayson. You can use this function to activateor deactivate the sound.

You can activate the EndAlert option with allprogrammes.

8.7 Reverse PlusIncrease drum reversing frequency toreduce items twisting and entanglement.To increase uniformity of drying resultand help reduce creases. Recommendedfor large or long items (e.g. sheets,trousers, long dresses)"

8.8 Extra SilentThe appliance operates with low noisewithout effect on the drying quality. Theappliance operates slowly with longercycle time.

9.1 Child lock functionThis option prevents children playing withthe appliance while a programme isoperating. The touch buttons are locked.Only the on/off button is unlocked.

Activating the child lock option:1. Press the on/off button to activate the

appliance.2. Press and hold touch button (E) for a

few seconds.The child lock indicator comes on.

It is possible to deactivatethe child lock option while aprogramme operates. Pressand hold the same touchbuttons until the child lockindicator goes off. The ChildLock function isn't availablefor 8 s after switching on theappliance.

9.2 Favourite App Program cycle cannotbe saved as a Favourite onthe appliance.

You can do your configuration ofprogramme and options and memorise inthe appliance memory.

To memorise yourconfiguration:1. Press the on/off button to activate the

appliance2. Set the programme and available

options.3. Press the (F) button for some

seconds.The sound and the message on thedisplay confirm that the configuration ismemorised.

To activate your memorisedconfiguration:1. Press the on/off button to activate the

appliance.

2. Use the programme knob to setFavourite position.

Previously memorised configuration ofprogramme and options will be restore.

9.3 Adjustment of the remainingmoistureThe appliance allows you to chosebetween 3 levels corresponding todifferent ranges of water hardness.

Depending on the country, the waterhardness is expressed in equivalentscales: e.g. French degrees (°f), Germandegrees (°d), English degrees (°e),mmol/l and ppmIf necessary, please contact your localwater authority to check the waterhardness in your area.

Every time you enter in the"Adjustment of remaininglaundry moisture" mode,previously set degree ofremaining moisture willchange into next value ( e.gpreviously set willchange into ).

To change the default degree ofremaining moisture:1. Press the on/off button to activate the

appliance.2. Use the programme knob to set any

programme.3. Wait approximately 8 seconds.4. Press and hold buttons (F) and (E) at

the same time.One of these indicators comes on:

• maximum dryness

• more dry laundry• standard dry laundry

5. Press and hold buttons (F) and (E)again until the indicator of the correctlevel comes on.

If the display returns tothe normal mode (thetime of the selectedprogramme from step 2.will be displayed), whilesetting the degree ofremaining moisture,press and hold buttons(F) and (E) once again toenter to the "Adjustmentof remaining laundrymoisture" mode(previously set degree ofremaining moisture willchange into next value).

6. To accept the selected degree ofremaining moisture, wait 5 s and thedisplay returns to the normal mode.

9.4 Water container indicatorBy default, the water container indicatoris on. It comes on when the programmeis completed or when it is necessary toempty the water container.

If a draining kit is installed(additional accessory), theappliance automaticallydrains the water from thewater container. In this casewe recommend that youdeactivate the indicator ofthe water container.

Deactivating the watercontainer indicator:1. Press the on/off button to activate the

appliance.2. Wait approximately 8 seconds.3. Press and hold touch buttons (A) and

(C) at the same time.

The display shows one of these 2configurations:

• The display shows "Off". After 5 sthe display returns to normalmode.

• The display shows "On". After 5 sthe display returns to normalmode.

10. BEFORE FIRST USERear drum packaging isremoved automatically whendryer is activated for the firsttime. Possible to hear somenoise.

Before you use the appliance for the firsttime:• Clean the tumble dryer drum with a

moist cloth.• Start a 1 hour programme with moist

laundry.

At the beginning of thedrying cycle (first 3-5 min)there could be a slightlyhigher sound level. This isdue to the compressorstarting up. This is normalfor compressor poweredappliances such asrefrigerators and freezers.

11. DAILY USE11.1 Start a programme withoutdelay start1. Prepare the laundry and load the

appliance. CAUTION!Make sure that whenyou close the door, thelaundry does not getcaught between theappliance door and therubber seal.

2. Press the on/off button to activate theappliance.

3. Set the correct programme andoptions for the type of load.

The display shows the programmeduration.

The drying time you see onthe display, when the cottonprogramme is selected, isrelated to the load of 5 kgand standard conditions .Real drying time will dependon type of the load (quantityand composition), the roomtemperature and thehumidity of your laundryafter spin drying phase.

4. Press the Start/Pause touch button.The programme starts.

11.2 Starting the programmewith delay start1. Set the correct programme and

options for the type of load.2. Press the delay start button again

and again until the display shows thedelay time you want to set.

You can delay the startof a programme from aminimum of 30 minutesto a maximum of 20hours.

3. Press the Start/Pause touch button.The display shows the countdown of thedelay start.When the countdown is completed, theprogramme starts.

11.3 Change a programme1. Press the on/off button to deactivate

appliance2. Press the on/off button to activate the

appliance.3. Set the programme.

11.4 At the end of theprogrammeWhen the programme is completed:• An intermittent acoustic signal

operates.• The display shows • The indicator is on.• The indicators Filter and Tank

12. HINTS AND TIPS12.1 Preparing the laundry• Close the zips.• Close the fasteners of duvet covers.• Do not dry ties or ribbons loose (e.g.

apron ribbons). Tie them before youstart a programme.

• Remove all items from pockets.• Turn items with the internal layer

made of cotton inside out. Cottonlayer must be faced outwards.

• Always set the programme suitablefor the type of laundry.

• Do not put light and dark colourstogether.

• Use suitable programme for cottons,jersey and knitwear to reduceshrinkage.

• Do not exceed the maximum loadstated in the programmes chapter orshown on the display.

• Dry only the laundry that is suitablefor tumble drying. Refer to the fabriclabel on the items.

• Do not dry large and small itemstogether. Small items can be trappedinside the large items and remain wet.

14. TROUBLESHOOTINGProblem Possible solutionYou cannot activate the appliance. Make sure that the mains plug is connec‐

ted to the mains socket.

Check fuse in fuse box (domestic installa‐tion).

The programme does not start. Press Start/Pause.

Make sure that the appliance door isclosed.

The appliance door does not close. Make sure that the installation of the filteris correct.

Make sure that the laundry is not caughtbetween the appliance door and the rub‐ber seal.

The appliance stops during operation. Make sure that the water container isempty. Press Start/Pause to start the pro‐gramme again.

Load is too small, increase the load oruse the Time Drying programme.

The cycle time is too long or unsatisfacto‐ry drying result.1)

Make sure that the weight of the laundryis suitable for the duration of the pro‐gramme.

Make sure that the filter is clean.

The laundry is too wet. Spin the laundryin the washing machine again.

Ensure that the room temperature ishigher than +5°C and lower than +35°C.Optimal room temperature is 19°C to24°C.
