Study the fundamental aspects and principles of project management including life cycle, integration, planning, organization and communication. Learn about work breakdown structures, diagramming, cost management and resource allocation. Examine today’s issues affecting project management including risk management, quality, conflict, and team building.

Learning Outcomes:

Attendees at this session include those who:

• Require a deeper knowledge of project management by nature of their current role leading priority RRC projects.

• Currently or will be involved in leading &/or participating on RRC priority project(s)

• Are a current formal leader or are identified by a manager/supervisor as needing to attend

Course Instructor: Wally Peech, PMP Wally gained extensive development and experience in Project Management, Call Centre Development, Business Planning, Product Development, Market Management, Product Management, Sales and Operations while employed by Manitoba Telecom Services Inc., Bell Canada, and Canadian Pacific Telecommunications from 1963 to 1998. Wally teaches a Project Management curriculum for Red River College. He has developed the curriculum and is the Lead Instructor for the Project Management Certificate Program at Red River College and also the Chair of the Project Management Program Steering Committee. Wally was the recipient of Red River College Continuing and Distance Education 2011 Teaching Excellence Award. He is a member and past Board Member of the Manitoba Chapter of the Project Management Institute. In 1996 he earned his Project Management Professional ‘PMP’ certification from the Project Management Institute.

Wally is married and has five children. He spends most of his summer in Pinawa, and most of his winter in Arizona.
