Considerations for ensuring: Professional cable management Reduced equipment footprint Timely installation There is not always 100% customer uptake, so further consideration for managing: Meet short term demand (PtP) OR Provide for future customers (Splice) Finding the optimum solution when planning for a variety of In-Building designs is the challenge Slide 10 Stage 1 : Fibre to the Premises Existing installation methods require microduct & cable Traditional deployed in PtP format with single cable from the ODB Time consuming to install the microduct and then pull/blow the fibre cable Potential life cycle issues when deploying outdoor microduct Flexible microduct life span is less than 2 years Not scalable in medium to high end MDU environments ODB cable management becoming un-managable Slide 11 Stage 1 : Fibre to the Premises Miniflex enables low risk and cost effective fibre connection UV resistant in the most demanding situations (+85C) Miniflex can be deployed outdoors without the need for microduct Lightweight and compact for durable installation using only wall clips Aesthetically pleasing installation that reduces the visual footprint Reduces the installation time which vastly increases the ROI Slide 12 Stage 1 : Fibre to the Premises 1.The fiber breaks out from the curb to the premises and into an ODB This is generally preformed by the Service Deployment team 2.Existing ODB has grown organically and will cause issues in the future Harsh Saudi environment will lead to early end of life if remaining outdoors 3.Revised ODB installation method could bring all wiring indoors Single connection from the Outside ODB to the Indoor IDB 1. FTTP ODB Location 2. Existing PtP Install 3. Moving the ODB Indoors Slide 13 Stage 1: Fibre inside the Premises 1.Connecting the ODB into the IDB/IDF located in the building 2.Breaking out with a Pre-Terminated Miniflex Lead 3.Removing need to splice in the field with plug & play solution 4.Brings the Point of Failure inside the building and away from damage Now fully protected from harsh weather and extends the life 2. Miniflex Pre-Terminated Break Out Lead1.
