Board Meeting

The board of trustees meets the fourth Tuesday of the month at 1:00 p.m. in the cooperative boardroom.

Columbus Electric is not your stan-dard power company. WE ARE YOUR COOPERATIVE. While we strive to pro-vide you with the best in high quality, reli-able power, we are also working to improve the communities in which we are privileged to serve. Whether it’s providing scholar-ships for college, trips to Washington, D.C., for the Youth Tour, or conducting safety demonstrations for local schools and busi-nesses, CEC is working to make life better for our communities.

October is National Cooperative Month, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank you, our members, for being a part of Columbus Electric Cooperative.

Attention High School Juniors and Seniors YouCould Win an All-Expense-Paid Trip to Washington, D.C.

Youth toursponsored By CEC

An all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C., in June will be awarded to two high school students. One student from our east side service area and one from the west side service area will be selected. If selected, the delegate will need to attend a personal interview with a parent/guardian at the Columbus Electric Co-op offi ce in Deming or Animas.

Students must meet the following requirements to be eligible.• Be in the th or th grade when applying.

• Must have a GPA of . or higher.

• Be an immediate family member of an active CEC member.

• Be able to participate in the tour to Washington, D.C. June -, .

• Submit the completed application and one original letter of recommendation

provided by school personnel (teacher, counselor or principal) to Columbus Electric Co-op by p.m. on Friday,
