Diego Rodriguez De Silva Velazquez, known as Velazquez, was a Chamber’s Painter at theKing Philip IV Court of Spain in the XVI Century.The picture represents a dwarf (achondroplastic dwarf) named Sebastiano de Morra, who wasbefore under the serviance of the infant Ferdinando, brother of King Philip IV, and later un-der the serviance of the Prince Baltasar Carlos, son of the King.The picture was painted in 1644 and is exposed to the Prado Museum in Madrid.
