CFL’s are energy efficient because they

incandescent bulbs

CFL’s are easy…you can use them virtually

anywhere a regular lightbulb is used.

CFL’s are economical because they use 1/3 the electricity and last 10 times longer than

incandescent

Easy Breezy…Wind Energy

Energy team students show off their wind mills to visitors

Wind Energy has been the fastest growing renewable energy source for the last decade

and is the least expensive. It is clean, cost competitive at less than 5 cents a kilowatt

and plentiful.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Caywood students are

active in their school recycling

program by collecting paper

for recycling from each

classroom. The students also

reminded everyone to recycle their empty soda

cans at the end of the night.

It was a great night of energy effi cient presentations from the Caywood Elementary Energy WISE team. Parents were asked to make a pledge to become energy effi cient. All pledges were put in a drawing for some fabulous energy-wise gifts!!

Energy Night Wrap Up

What a successful night for the Caywood Energy team. Many families came out for a great night of energy education, cool prizes and free pizza and soft drinks! ***Recycle those cans!***
