COOLING TOWER/CONDENSER TREATMENT SPEC INFORMATION

1) Provide a complete water treatment system for a cooling tower. Supply one Jutzi Water Technologies Cooling Water Package with part #420200200. Use Jutzi Water Technologies for all cooling tower/condenser water treatment. This should include: pretreatment (if required due to water makeup characteristics). Supply sufficient chemicals for initial startup and one month’s operation. The biocide program should be compliant with current Legionella control protocols from the CTI or ASHRAE.

1. Ensure that the new cooling tower is properly passivated to prevent “White Rust” in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines.

2. Jutzi Water Technologies Formula MC 6220 – (20kg), part# 421362202 pre-operational cleaner should be maintained at 10 gallons per 1000 gallons of system water. Formula MC 6220 should be circulated for 4-8 hours then flushed and drained 2-3 times. The cooling tower

should be bypassed during the cleaning process. Blowout all low points in the system to remove dirt. System is clean when the system conductivity equals makeup water conductivity, iron levels equal makeup iron and water is clean and clear.
