The founder of Also S.p.A. is Dr. Paolo Sorbini: a pharmacist, from a family of Motepulciano “apothecaries” who, after having established a phytotherapeutic extract-based pharmaceutical importing business, acquired a small laboratory on the outskirts of Milan and, at the beginning of 1954, founded Also S.p.A. - nowadays known as Enervit S.p.A. - combining industrial and commercial activities. 1972 saw the construction of the Zelbio plant in Pian del Tivano, near Como, still the Enervit S.p.A. manufacturing facility.
