FIRST ADDITIONAL LANGUAGEGRADES 7 11 PRESCRIBED BOOKS2010 The following books have been selected for possible prescription for grades 7 to 11 for 2010.

Although books have been arranged according to the grades for which they have been prescribed, schools may select books from any grade to suit their needs.

Unless otherwise stated, unabridged editions are prescribed.

An asterisk (*) indicates a title that is considered to be particularly suitable for learners at the level of First Additional Language. These books may also be chosen for Home Language learners according to the situation at the school.Educators teaching English Home Language and First Additional Language (Grades 7, 8 and 9) will notice that the lists of titles in the novel sections have been reduced. However, any of the titles previously prescribed for Grades 7, 8 and 9 may still be used as setworks provided they are of a suitable standard and content for the learners concerned.
