Chesterton® Engineered Polymer Solutions 600
600 Parachute®
Typical Applications
Chesterton® 600 is aV-ring set for HYDRAULICapplications. It providesan economical means of sealing older wornequipment. It is particularlyadaptable to deep stuffing boxes and odd sized ramswhere equipment cannotbe disassembled.
■ Available split and solid.■ Nesting V-ring design
enables the gland force to transfer pressure so each ring loads evenly to increase sealing efficiency.
■ Available materials are NEOPRENE, which performs well in water and oil, and BUTYL, developed to work with Phosphate Ester fluids.
• Metal extrusionpresses
• Telescoping cylinders
• Auto lifts• Drilling equipment• Reciprocating
pumps
• Compressionmolding presses
• Bale presses
• Plywood presses• Hydraulic shears

To select a 600 seal:■ Choose the appropriate
material, based on chemical compatibility.Neoprene performs well in water and oil, BUTYL is developed to work withPhosphate Ester fluids.
Notes:■ Use the pressure chart to
determine the minimum number of seals required.
■ Seals are supplied splitunless otherwise stated.
