Engineering Diversity Scholarship Program
Donors: Territory Generation and Engineers Australia
Maximum value: $3,000 ($1,500 per semester in 2018)
Purpose: • To provide financial support and industry experience
to an Indigenous student considering a career in the engineering sector.
• To foster Indigenous diversity in the Northern Territory’s engineering sector.
Work placement:The successful applicant will have the opportunity to undertake work placement with Territory Generation during university breaks.
Number of scholarships available: one (1) Applications: now open
Applications close: 17 March 2018
Eligibility criteria:• Must be an Indigenous Australian
• Must be enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering at Charles Darwin University
• Must be a resident of the Northern Territory
• Must be enrolled full time during the duration of the scholarship
• Must be an Australian citizen or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa
How to apply:Please email the following items to [email protected] by 17 March 2018:
• A Curriculum Vitae (2 pages max) with the contact details of two referees
• A 400-word max statement outlining why you want to be an engineer
• Confirmation of Charles Darwin University Bachelor of Engineering full-time enrolment
• Confirmation of Indigeneity
• Confirmation of Northern Territory residency.
Territory Generation and Engineers Australia have partnered to provide a $6,000 scholarship program to foster diversity in the engineering sector. Two scholarships, worth a total of $3,000 each, will be offered in 2018 over two semesters. One scholarship will be awarded to an Indigenous Australian enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering at Charles Darwin University and the other will be awarded to a female enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering at Charles Darwin University. Scholarship recipients will also be given the opportunity to undertake valuable work placements with Territory Generation during 2018’s semester breaks.

Please note: Indigenous women may apply for both scholarships if they meet the eligibility requirements, but only one scholarship may be awarded to the successful applicant.
