Citizen Schools brings innovative strategies to middle schools in low-income communities. We connect people to classrooms
to unlock the potential of students – and put them on a success trajectory.
We learned about Citizen Schools…
Citizens + Schools = IMPACT
We expand a middle school’s
learning day
by connecting
a team of adults with students
to provide relevant learning
experiences
that give students the skills, access,
and beliefs
they need to succeed in
school, college, and careers.

Results We are Closing the Achievement Gap Through College Nationally, only 9% of low-income students earn a four-year
college degree by age 25, which is 8 times less than their peers from high-income families.
More than 80% of students who participate in STEM-focused apprenticeships express interest in a STEM career, compared to only one-third of 8th grade students nationally.
