When the staff try to explain that this is not allowed, [...] the people with the Minister [...] become aggressive and rude and sometimes push past our staff,” Sarah Peterson, who is Continental Man- ager for Rio 2016 Organising Commiee, said in a leer to Indian Chef-de-Mission Rakesh Gupta. “As you can understand, this type of behavior is not accept- able. Despite previous warnings, it would seem that even today the same incident occurred at the Rio Olympic Arena (Gym- nastics venue) and Carioca Arena 3,” she added. Peterson said the Minister’s accreditation could be cancelled because of this. “Should our protocol team be made aware of further examples of this type of behavior, the accreditation of your Minister for Sports will be cancelled and his privi- leges at the Olympic Games withdrawn. We trust you will pass on this message urgently,” she said. PTI England v/s Pakistan Shafiq anchors inning as Pakistan trail by 132 runs London, Aug 12: Pakistan were three down for 196 at Tea on day two of the fourth Test against England at The Oval. The tourists scored 99 runs at a loss of one wicket in the second session. Azhar Ali, who opened the innings on day one for Pakistan, fell in Moeen Ali's fourth over of the innings as wicketkeeper Jonny Bair- stow caught Azhar off glove. The right-handed bats- man hit nine fours for his 113-ball 49. Veteran batsman Younis Khan replaced the 31-year-old when Pakistan were 127 for three. Asad Shafiq, who failed to score a run in the third Test, scored his career's 15th half-centu- ry. Playing on number four spot for the third time, the 30-year-old was not out on 79 off 119 balls. Meanwhile, Khan held the other end on 26 not out. Earlier in the day, Alex Hales and Steven Finn put down two easy chances. Hales, who was dismissed after Yasir took a blinder at mid-wicket, dropped the leg-spinner at backward point. While Finn put down a return catch of his own bowling right after drinks. Misbah-ul-Haq's men began day two on the score of three with one wicket down. Sami Aslam, who scored all of Pakistan's runs in last test, was trapped in front of stumps by English pacer Stuart Broad in the second over of the innings after England were rolled out for 328 runs. A 97-run stand for sixth wicket between Jonny Bairstow (55) and Ali (108) brought Alastair Cook's men back in the game after they had received blows during the first session. Returning to the playing XI after being rested during Edgbaston Test, Wahab Riaz picked up Joe Root (26) and James Vince (1) before Lunch. His final wicket came right in the start of the second session as he induced an edge from Gary Ballance's bat to be held by Azhar. Denied an opportunity to score a century at Edgbas- ton as Cook declared when Ali was batting on 86, the left-hander put up a strong resistance after Mohammad Amir took his second wicket to dismiss Bairstow. The all-rounder brought up his career's third century with a towering six at cow corner when he charged down the wicket against Yasir. The right-arm fast-bowler Sohail returned the innings figures of five for 68 in 20.4- overs. Agencies CMYK

Rio organizers threaten to cancel Sports Minister Vijay Goel's accreditationrio de Janeiro, Aug 12: Miffed with Indian Sports Minis-ter Vijay Goel’s entourage, Rio Olympic organisers have threatened to cancel his accreditation if unaccredited people accompanying him do not end their “aggressive and rude” behaviour.

“We have had multiple reports of your Minister for Sports trying to enter accredited areas at venues with unaccredited individuals. When the staff try to explain that this is not allowed, [...] the people with the Minister [...] become aggressive and rude and sometimes push past our staff,” Sarah Peterson, who is Continental Man-ager for Rio 2016 Organising Committee, said in a letter

to Indian Chef-de-Mission Rakesh Gupta.“As you can understand, this type of behavior is not accept-

able. Despite previous warnings, it would seem that even today the same incident occurred at the Rio Olympic Arena (Gym-nastics venue) and Carioca Arena 3,” she added.

Peterson said the Minister’s accreditation could be cancelled because of this.

“Should our protocol team be made aware of further examples of this type of behavior, the accreditation of your Minister for Sports will be cancelled and his privi-leges at the Olympic Games withdrawn. We trust you will pass on this message urgently,” she said. PTI

England v/s Pakistan

Shafiq anchors inning as Pakistan trail by 132 runsLondon, Aug 12: Pakistan were three down for 196 at Tea on day two of the fourth Test against England at The Oval.

The tourists scored 99 runs at a loss of one wicket in the second session.

Azhar Ali, who opened the innings on day one for Pakistan, fell in Moeen Ali's fourth over of the innings as wicketkeeper Jonny Bair-stow caught Azhar off glove.

The right-handed bats-man hit nine fours for his 113-ball 49. Veteran batsman Younis Khan replaced the 31-year-old when Pakistan were 127 for three. Asad Shafiq, who failed to score a run in the third Test, scored his career's 15th half-centu-ry.

Denied an opportunity to score a century at Edgbas-ton as Cook declared when Ali was batting on 86, the left-hander put up a strong resistance after Mohammad Amir took his second wicket to dismiss Bairstow.

The all-rounder brought up his career's third century with a towering six at cow corner when he charged down the wicket against Yasir.

The right-arm fast-bowler Sohail returned the innings figures of five for 68 in 20.4-overs. Agencies
