PRESENT SIMPLE (Negative and questions)

Para negaciones y preguntas en presente simple se utiliza el verbo auxiliar DO.

No aporta significado sino estructura.En la tercera persona del singular se utiliza la

forma correspondiente: DOES, en el resto se utiliza DO.

Tanto en negaciones como en preguntas al verbo principal no le añadimos –s en la tercena persona del singular, ya que cambiamos DO por DOES.

Structure with I, you, we, they:

Subject + DO NOT (don’t) + infinitive (+ object)

I do not like apples / I don’t like apples.

They do not watch TV / They don’t watch TV

Structure with he, she, it:

Subject + DOES NOT (doesn’t) + infinitive

He does not smoke / He doesn’t smoke

It does not rain in Summer / It doesn’t rain in …

en preguntas (ninguna):
