Aim of the exploration « solar 2009 »

The aim is to have a look on the diversity of existing equipment in photovoltaïc and solar water systems.

Page 3: English Exploration Solar 2009

Why to choose solar?

Necessity of producing electricity. To be independant from network. Wish to produce electricity. Innovative capacity and exemple. Education and ecology thinking. Strategy of sustainable development. Power and finance saving.

Page 4: English Exploration Solar 2009

Response to customer's needs

Equipments available since 20 years. Permanent tecnology evolution. Finance solutions. Partnerships for installation. Regional financing grants.

Page 5: English Exploration Solar 2009

Motivation analysis

Financial return is not the only reason. To compensate the electric consumption. The free ressource is a reason to invest in

that equipments. Financial return is one of the reasons.

Page 6: English Exploration Solar 2009

Advantage

Electric autonomy is an advantage for restaurants managers and other housing in altitude.

Unavailable connection to ground electric network is part of the problem, because some businesses are seasonal. Presence of two or three months.

Page 7: English Exploration Solar 2009

Perspectives for development

Evolution of solar equipment and investments currently made in large surfaces enable us to count on strong development of this industrial sector.

Page 8: English Exploration Solar 2009

Installations seen in 2009

Solar equipment must be illuminated by day light, then it is quite easy to look at it without entering inside locations. Only electric devices like ondulators or pipes and hot water tanks must be locked inside secured rooms.

Pictures were shot during august and september 2009.

Molières village

Mercantour parc has regulations about building haouses. The former village was burn down because of german defeat in 1945 et famillies are rebuilding over ruins. Solar energy is actualy the only solution.

Hot water in Corsica ?

With a sunny weather, Corsica island should be a place where to develop solar tecnology. There are actualy few panels visible, but i did not focus on this subject during the trip. Only one water panel came in front of my camera.

Conclusion of solar panorama

By this choice of field work, i met several opinions about solar solution. All were positives about using the sun, i only had one discussion about unsightly reasons. Difficulty is still on financial subject because it keeps a part of personal investment for famillies even in partnership with companies.
