Students of different nationalities are placed with students of a different mother tongue in our Host Families to ensure that they further develop their English language skills while they are in England.

Each week is packed with lessons and a full range of activities and excursions. Sundays are spent with the Host Family so the student gets to experience the English culture and traditional English way of life.

Brighton is an English seaside resort town. About an hour south of London by train, it’s a popular summer destination. Its broad shingle beach is backed by amusement arcades and Regency-era buildings.

Brighton Pier, in the central waterfront section, opened in 1899 and now has rides and food kiosks. The town is also known for its nightlife, arts scene, shopping andfestivals.

What to expect on a Short-Stay course:

• A great base for exploring the UK. Our south coast locations are all within easy day trip reach of London, Portsmouth and Hastings. Our Cornwall locations are perfect for exploring the south west and our Edinburgh base is at the heart of Scotland.

• Friendly and experienced host families. Welcoming host families with guest rooms perfect for students and providing home cooked meals.

• Full board or half board accommodation. Guest house accommodation available for leaders/teachers if required.

• A dedicated Local Coordinator will meet your group every morning and evening to support you with coach movements and any issues/questions you may have.

Short Stays with lessons are very popular and can be booked at our Brighton and Eastbourne Centres:

Our English lessons are based mainly around speaking and listening and a small amount of grammar. Teachers will incorporate lots of conversation together with communicative activities, role play and drama. Our aim is to build confidence in vocabulary and pronunciation.

Students will also read authentic material such as newspaper & magazine articles, learning about idioms, phrasal verbs and paraphrasing to include the main points. Lessons are fun yet informative thus keeping the attention of the class.

We offer a wide range of English language courses for students aged 11 to adult on a one to one basis with a tutor at their home. You can choose from some excellent locations across the UK, or if you don’t want to come alone, bring a friend on a two-to-one English language course.

This mono-national English programme is perfect for school groups or individuals of 15 or more who want to improve their English while being in class with other students of the same nationality.

Ideal for those who are attending the language course abroad for the first time and feel more comfortable with classmates speaking their native language.

A two week intensive learning programme in small groups of a maximum of 5 students and a teacher.6 hours of lessons per day (24 hours per week) and 2 full day excursions per week.

This English Course is a wonderful Parent and Children Course where you live with your English Teacher in their own home. The teacher will be happy to deal with English at all levels which means that you can have Family English; Business English; English for Young Learners. In fact English in any combination you desire.

We have found that living learning English is the quickest way to progress your English both written and spoken. Family holidays can be taken around this with structured afternoon activities twice a week with your English teacher. Additionally, they will take you out once a week for a full days excursion to help you study English as well as learn about the country you chose to learn it in. Speaking English with your teacher is a great way to improve without realising it.

What better way is there to learn English than with your family on a holiday in an English speaking country? You choose who joins in the structured lessons, Mum? Dad? the Kids? All of you? It's up to you!

Football academy with English

The football coaching is conducted in English by our FA qualified coaches, at our local coaching facilities with excellent equipment and professional quality pitches.

Our programmes have been balanced to include a high level of training, education and recreation. We will cover technical circuits, individual techniques, goal keeping, free kicks, corners, dribbling, speed cage radar, quick feet challenge, target net, Kix cubes etc, rules and fair play, all leading to a football match with a local team.

Homestay High School Programmes in South Africa

HIGH SCHOOL EXCHANGE

You can attend from one month to 1 academic year. You will be expected to purchase the school uniform but nothing more. Sports will be offered most afternoons, and you are expected to participate. Your English Level should be of an acceptable level as you will be immersed in the full school curriculum and a good B1 English level is required.

You will be staying on the Western Cape close to Cape Point and Cape Town. Beautiful and Historic with the World Famous Boulders Beach close by, your Host Family is used to having students and will include you in all aspects of their daily life. Some families will have children attending your school or live close to the school.

We have a dedicated Local Co-Ordinator who lives in the area and is available to deal with any welfare and housekeeping issues. She will meet you on arrival and be available during your stay so the student should never feel worried or alone.

We are able to offer you a real High School Immersion package. You will attend a local school and stay with a South African English speaking family. Many of our families have children already attending your chosen school or live close by. At your school you will be looked after by a Buddy so you won’t feel lost and they can help you make friends and find your feet.

You will be expected to wear the school uniform. That’s “ non negotiable!” The wearing of uniform is strictly enforced right down to the wearing of the correct shoes!
