Jay: Calm down and let me finish my coffee, Tara. Our tickets say that the flight wont leave for another twenty-five minutes. Weve got plenty of time to get there. Dont worry! Tara: Dont forget that we still have to go through airport security and find our gate. This airport is huge, and I dont even know what number our gate is. Jay: Okay, no problem. Well figure it out. Look! There is the security checkpoint. Its not very far away. We arent going to miss our flight, honeyI promise. Tara: Yes, maybe youre right. Thank goodness the line is short. I still feel anxious though. I would feel a lot better if we left the caf now. I mean, what if our gate is far away? Jay: Honey, everything is going to be alright. But just to make sure, Im going to ask someone where our gate is. Were going to make it on time.

Youre all packed and ready to go on the vacation of your dreams. The only thing between you and some fun in the sun is the airport. Here are three handy tips to get you to your destination as quickly as possible. 1) Arrive earlyThere is nothing worse than arriving at the airport only

to find a massive pile-up at the security station. Make sure you get to the airport a couple of hours before your flight.

    2) Plan for a carry-on security screeningDont bring objects through the carry-on screening unless it is essential that you do so. Many things, such as fluids, are better left in your checked baggage.

    3) Plan ahead for a body scanningEveryone is going to have a body scan. Remember that anything metallic will set the alarm off, so you might not want to wear a belt or jewelry. Additionally, make sure you dont have any change in your pockets.
