Then follow the necessary steps in this guide to set up the electronics in the IdeaShare Board. *Note:Tray Mounting Screws are shipped attached to the marker tray mounting plate at the bottom/back of the board. ollo Unpack the f wing components Connect the RJ45 cable Wrap the RJ-45 cable around the cutout in the marker tray and connect it to the RJ-45 jack in the back of the tray. Attach marker tray With the bottom of the board facing up, remove the (4) marker tray mounting screws from the tray mounting plate in the board frame. Slide the marker tray onto the frame with the marker tray bracket over the board frame. Make sure the RJ45 cable hangs through allotted cutout in back of marker tray. Align the screw holes in the marker tray bracket with the holes in the tray mounting plate by sliding the plate left or right. Re-insert the tray mounting screws through the marker tray bracket into the tray mounting plate in the board frame. Attach the mounting hanger to the wall Determine board location.To position board hanger, mark first hole of hanger 9" from outside edge of board and 5/8" from top of board. Check that hanger is level and mark other holes. Drill holes for each hanger in the marked locations using a 1/4" drill bit. Insert wall anchors into holes flush with the wall. Insert screws through hanging bracket into the wall anchors.Tighten firmly. Mount board to wall With both parts of dual-lock pads connected, remove protective paper from one side of each of the two sets of pads.Apply pads to bottom corners on back of board. Remove the remaining protective paper from dual- lock pads. Holding the board at an angle, place the channel in the back of the frame over the wall hanger. Lower the board so that it is flush to the wall. Press bottom corners of board firmly to wall to adhere dual-lock pads. Attach power cord and peripheral cables Connect the Power Cord to the Power Adapter. Insert the small round plug coming from the Power Adapter into the small round connector at the back of the Marker Tray. To use your IdeaShare Board in whiteboard mode* , connect the male end of Serial Cable (included) into the serial port on the bottom of the Marker Tray and the other end into an available serial port on your computer. *Note: Set-up for copyboard mode and virtual touchscreen are explained in the User Manual. © 2002 General Binding Corporation. Printed in the USA. All rights reserved. Install the software Insert the software CD into the CD-ROM drive on your computer. The software should start up automatically. If the installer does not start up automatically, browse to your CD-ROM drive and select the setup program. Follow all on-screen directions. Once the software has been installed, launch the software by double-clicking the Quartet IdeaShare icon on your computer’s desktop. Insert the markers Open each electronic pen by pressing the latch located at the top of the pen. Insert the dry-erase marker into the corresponding color-coded electronic pen. Close the electronic pen. If help is needed Refer to the troubleshooting section in the User Manual or the Help files in the eBeam software. GBC Customer Service is also available at 800-541-0094. Complete the Quartet IdeaShare registration After installing the software, you will be connected to the GBC product registration page, if you are connected to the Internet. If you are not connected to the Internet or choose to register later, simply go to www .GBCOffice .com and click on the Register/Support tab at that time. Please fill out all the necessary information to activate your product warranty. Install batteries in the electronic pens Remove the end cap from each electronic pen by turning it in the direction of the arrow. Insert batteries (included), with the plus (+) side up. Replace the end cap. Install batteries in the electronic eraser Remove the battery cover from the electronic eraser by twisting a coin counterclockwise in the slot. • Wrap the RJ-45 cable around the cutoutin the marker tray and connect it to theRJ-45 jack in the back of the tray.

�Attach marker tray

• With the bottom of the board facing up,remove the (4) marker tray mountingscrews from the tray mounting plate in the board frame.

• Slide the marker tray onto the frame withthe marker tray bracket over the boardframe. Make sure the RJ45 cable hangsthrough allotted cutout in back of markertray. Align the screw holes in the marker traybracket with the holes in the tray mountingplate by sliding the plate left or right.

• Re-insert the tray mounting screwsthrough the marker tray bracket into thetray mounting plate in the board frame.
