TOBACCO

Tobacco is the main cause. The smoke of tobacco, with its high concentration of carcinogens, goes directly into the air and inhaled by both smokers as nonsmokers. Quitting smoking also significantly reduces the risk of contracting other diseases related to tobacco, such as heart disease, emphysema and chronic bronchitis.

Exposure to carcinogens: Asbestos is perhaps the best known of the industrial substances related to lung cancer, but there are many others: uranium, arsenic, certain petroleum products, etc.

- Like caffeine, nicotine is a stimulant, which prevents sleep, a priori even more to people who already suffer from insomnia.

LUNG CANCER

- is the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells that start off in one or both lungs; usually in the cells that line the air passages. The abnormal cells do not develop into healthy lung tissue, they divide rapidly and form tumors.
