6. Additional events at euro-scene Leipzig

The Österreichische Kulturforum Berlin (Austrian Cultural Forum Berlin) is supporting the three guest performances from Austria at euro-scene Leipzig. For the Kulturforum’s magazine »Kosmos Österreich« (»Kosmos Austria«), which is published three times per year, the festival director Ann-Elisabeth Wolff wrote an expansive essay »Nikolaus Habjan und die Kraft des gegenwärtigen Theaters« (»Nikolaus Habjan and the power of contemporary theatre«).    Nele Hertling, the former long-term director of Berlin’s Hebbel Theater (now HAU) and commendable dance networker, was awarded the Deutscher Tanzpreis 2018 (German Dance Award 2018) at the Aalto-Theater Essen by the Dachverband Tanz Deutschland on 22.09.2018. Ann-Elisabeth Wolff wrote a contribution on the cooperation between Nele Hertling and euro-scene Leipzig for the commemorative publication.   On 12. and 13.10.2018, the TanzSpeicher Würzburg organized a solo dance competition for the first time; eight dancers made it to the final round. The audience selected an audience prize. Ann-Elisabeth Wolff was a part of the four-person expert jury. They awarded four prizes: Marcelina Liebner from Poland (1st prize), Elisabeth Kindler-Abali from Germany (2nd prize), Gonçalo Cruzinha from Portugal and Yotam Peled from Israel (3rd prizes).
