Compare the different settings and how the 2 characters must have felt at the beginning and end of the advert. Think about:

• Location• Colours used• Atmosphere• Emotion

Task 3: Fronted adverbials

A fronted adverbial is a word or phrase that is placed at the start of a sentence.

They are used to explain how (manner), when (time) or where (place) something happens.

Activity 1: Create a fronted adverbial for each sentence.

Activity 2:

Create some sentences with a fronted adverbial describing where (place) the characters are at the beginning, middle and end of the advert.
