ENHANCED BUILDING OPERATIONS PROGRAMOPERATE YOUR BUILDING EFFICIENTLY AND SAVE
* Manitoba Hydro is a licensee of the Trademark and Official Mark.
We can help you operate your building so it’s more reliable and comfortable, and saves you money on your energy bill.
Our Enhanced Building Operations Program will guide you to find ways to save energy in your existing building, and how to fix ongoing problems with systems and equipment.
Energy saving opportunities include improvements to operations, maintenance, control strategies and systems.
The goal is to bring your building to its top performance and operate it efficiently for continued savings.
With the help of program incentives, you can recover project costs and realize savings faster. Our program will pay a portion of your upfront costs to investigate energy savings and select the best measures to implement, which
reduces your risk. Typical projects save about 10 per cent of total building energy costs and recover costs within two years.
The process to find energy savings is called retro- or re-commissioning (RCx). During RCx, building systems are designed, installed, tested, operated and maintained to verify and record that all needs are being met. Re-commissioning puts a building through the process again, following a change in operations or needs. Retro-commissioning applies the process to an existing building for the first time.
