HOUSING
The homestay experience is a unique housing experience for students because it welcomes them into an American home. Students who choose to live with a homestay family will �nd a safe, welcoming, and comfortable atmosphere in which they can be introduced to American customs, traditions, and family lifestyles. The home allows them to practice their English on a daily basis while enjoying homemade meals in a familiar setting. Homestay families typically plan family outings and guided tours of the city for the student. The homestay program carefully matches students with appropiate families. With the homestay housing choice, we see many friendships form that will last a lifetime.
This is the best option for independent students. The dormitory o�ers a fully furnished room, either shared (2 people) or private (individual). No meals are provided, but a fully furnished kitchen is available. Most dormitories are within 20 minutes by bus from Language Systems. Each dormitory is located near a bus line which can take the student directly to Language Systems within 20 minutes (no transfers are necessary). Currently we have 5 dormitories: Northeast L.A., Orange County, South Bay L.A., Wilshire and Harvard. All dormitories are conveniently located close to shopping areas.

Sweet Home California (SHCA) provides 2 types of housing to Language Systems International students: HOMESTAY & DORMITORYSweet Home CA is an independent company that provides safe, convenient and accessible housing services for Language Systems International students.
Sweet Home CA is dedicated to a student centered environment in which our clients can enjoy all of the benefits of safe, attractive and welcoming housing.
For students looking to improve their English, homestay experience is a priceless opportunity not only to practice conversation ability on a daily basis, but also to learn American customs, traditions and lifestyle.
Students who choose to live with a homestay family are treated as new member of the family while enjoying homemade meals in a familiar environment. After participating in SHCA homestay program, many students maintain long lasting relationships with their host families. Homestay with meals are provided in all locations. Only North East LA (Alhambra and San Gabriel area) offers options of homestay with or without meals*.* The cost of homestays without meals is considered as dorm prices.
This is the best option for students who like independence and meeting people from all over the world. Living in the dormitory, makes daily life fun!The dormitory offers a fully furnished room, either shared or private room.
