• Highlights reading for pleasure stock and provides easy access to resources for students
• LRC Questionnaire future development: studentsasked if wanted more reading for pleasure
Displays and promotions
•Displays inside and outside LRCs (including Fresher’s Fairs), posters, leaflets and recommended reading lists
• Raises profile of LRC and
reading for pleasure stock
• Displays usage stats taken
from LMS
Author visits
•LRC has co-ordinated visits from Bali Rai, CourttiaNewland, Diran Adebayo and performance poet El Crisis
• Raises profile of LRC andthe appeal of reading and writing
• Feedback collected after each visit
Book groups
•ESOL Horizons reading group running since 2007 (2009/10 as part of the Six Book Challenge)•Study Skills Centre Book Club - book box scheme
• Contributes to success, takes readingfor pleasure out of the LRC and raises profile across institution
• Feedback collected from reading diaries and at end of groups
• Raises profile within institution and
