Instructor: Heather Rinke Have fun learning and exploring new recipes. Cooking teaches you about fractions, counting, chemistry, geography, and much more. ENGINEERING FUN Grades 4-6

Do you like to build things? How do bridges work? Can you make a bridge out of spaghetti that can hold a pound of sugar? How about a boat out of cardboard that will float? Do your parents have a funky lava lamp? I bet you can make one of those!!! Attend Engineering Fun to test your skills and learn so much more!!! Deadline: Please register by January 20 to determine if we have enough to run the class. If the class meets our minimum, you can register up until the day of the class. BABYSITTING CLINIC Grades 5-9

Instructor: Sam Jens (Lyon County 4-H Coordinator)

Get ready for babysitting this year! The Super Sitter Clinic is a great opportunity for both girls and boys, because babysitting is not a job to be taken lightly! The clinic will promote safe, sensitive care for children and the best possible babysitting experience for sitters. Through hands-on experiences, students will develop skills for providing care, entertaining, and handling emergencies. You will also get a great start on a babysitting kit to use “on the job”. You must attend all sessions to receive a certificate! The students should bring a snack or money to purchase a snack. Deadline: January 17

DNR FIREARMS SAFETY

13, 18, 20, 25, 27, March 3 (snow make-up date 3/10) TIME: 7:00 – 9:00 pm COST: $12.50 ($5.00 paid at registration and $7.50 paid online to print certificate)
