We are so excited about all of the wonderful offerings we have for your child in our After School Enrichment Program. You will find that the Enrichment Program is designed to provide a well-rounded educational experience where learners will explore sports, science, experience where learners will explore sports, science, math, dance and art in a variety of ways outside of the classroom. Every day there are a multitude of fascinating and engaging programs where your child will shine!

Music Master’s founder and instructor Anita Goldberg holds a B.A. in piano and music education from Mexico City’s National Music Conservatory. The Music Masters’ program includes the methods of Orff, Kodaly and Dalcroze, as well as techniques and curriculum personally developed by Ms. Goldberg.

Music Masters is a child-centered, age appropriate program. The Music Masters is a child-centered, age appropriate program. The sequentienal and structured curriculum is designed to give chil-dren a solid foundation in music theory and piano keyboard playing, while developing their musical skills: rhythm, listening and singing skills.

Creative Challenges and Holiday DesignsBuilding with LEGO bricks, participants will create unique two Building with LEGO bricks, participants will create unique two and three-dimensional structures and objects. Learners will problem solve individually and in team settings. Examples of challenges include (1) using only one size or one color of bricks (2) building a specific object, shape, or animal, and (3) building with a predetermined number of bricks. Math concepts, estimation, prediction, critical thinking and reasoning are some estimation, prediction, critical thinking and reasoning are some of the many skills that students will enhance. Students learn the art of interlocking in order to construct a solid structure. Measurement, estimation, and geometry are explored as each project is developed.

Motor Skill Development and Holiday DesignsThis workshop enhances fine and gross motor skill development along with the recognition of shapes and colors. Participants create their own LEGO bricks renditions of objects associated with the special spring holidays. Students objects associated with the special spring holidays. Fundamentals of ArtLearn the rules so you can break the rules (of art that is!) No prior experience required, just excitement and curiosity! Learning to draw and use color are the building blocks of expressing emotion and passion through art. This is not a crafts expressing emotion and passion through art. This is not a crafts class, however, learning to draw, mix colors and use a variety of mediums is fun! Most significantly, art is meant to express, excite and declare ideas!

Students will even take a field trip to the San Antonio Museum of Art for a first hand experience in the fun-damental elements of art!

American Christian Tae Kwon Do School is advancement of the inter-related idea of wholeness, achieved through synchro-nization of the body, mind and spirit. In this course students will learn physical, emotional and intellectual discipline, self-defense, goal formation and achievement along with appreciation of the Korean culture. Students will learn focus as part of the virtue discipline. They will learn take responsibility for their own actions and exert self-control over extreme emotions, such as anger and fear.

This class meets twice a week. Thursday classes meet at St. This class meets twice a week. Thursday classes meet at St. Luke’s and a second day at Alamo Heights Presbyterian Church (Monday or Tuesday). Transportation is not provided to Alamo Heights Presbyterian Church.

Developed by educators who were also martial artists, Tiny Tigers Martial Arts is geared towards children under the age of four. This is a comprehensive program with emphasis on three foci: basic martial arts skills, life skills, and safety skills.

Martial Arts – The child learns basic stances, blocks, hand techniques, foot techniques, stretching and very simple practical techniques, foot techniques, stretching and very simple practical application of these techniques. The purpose of learning these skills is to develop motor control and self discipline.

Life Skills – The child learns life skills which enhance his/her well being and development. The units covered are: balance, cooperation, coordination, discipline, exercise, listening, nutrition and respect.

Safety SkillsSafety Skills – The child learns skills which lead to a safer life. Units covered include; fire, stranger awareness, traffic, health, holiday safety, weather and first aid.
