Club Activities

• Groom and maintain recreational ski trails for:– the skiing public in Edmonton and area– The City of Edmonton (ski instruction)– Edmonton Public School Board (ski instruction and

outdoor education)– Edmonton Separate School Board (ski instruction

and outdoor education)– University of Alberta Ski Club

• Adult lessons• Jackrabbit program (12 and under)• Cross country ski development and racing• Biathlon ski development and racing• Masters ski development• Coaching development• Annual ski swap (Goldbar Elementary School)• Social activities (fun races, potlucks, etc)

Club Alumni & Membership• Currently have 4 racers on National cross

country and biathlon teams• Club Alumni include 4 Olympians and many

who have competed internationally• Currently have about 600

club members including seniors, adults, teenagers and children

Park in Calgary and Canmore - $$ for northern Alberta facilities

• Edmonton’s weather is conducive to snow making• Need for a reliable ski venue
