Only 20% of an ADVANCE member’s hours can be training/member development. This is approximately 60 hours.

This includes activities that are:*

1. instructional and support a members’ ability to serve effectively in their placement or

2. improve the members skills, knowledge and self-awareness

Examples include:

• Orientations

• Trainings

• Reflection Sessions

• Cluster meetings and conferences

• Professional conferences and workshops relevant to mentoring/youth development

*** This is NOT trainings that you conduct or facilitate at your service site but those in which you are a participant only.
