» File Sharing

» Integrated Discussion Forum

» Polls

Competency Management

The competency management component would be used for managing competencies of users and creating

training plans for users based on that. Competencies can be product knowledge, skills like communication,

negotiation etc. Following is a list of features available under the competency management system component:

» Creation of competency groups – Technical, Soft Skills etc

» Defining proficiency levels for competencies with min and max level proficiency requirements set for each

competency level

» Mapping Competencies and corresponding level requirement to Job Roles

» Mapping employees to competencies and defining the current proficiency of employees

» Mapping courses to competency levels

» Identification of competency gaps based on user’s current job role and future role in the organization –

Successor Planning

» Creation of individualized learning plans for users based on competency gaps identified by the system

Document Management (Knowledge Management)

Any form of digital resources (documents, audio, video and URLs) can be

systematically stored in Digital Library (DL) and made available to other

users.

The librarian can define the tree-structured catalogue of the DL. DL has

got powerful search with full-text and Boolean capabilities. Bookmark

functionality and history of last few accessed documents is available for

all the users. All these will assist users to easily access the desired

documents. Any user can submit a document, which will have to be

approved by a designated expert before being uploaded to the DL.

DL server permits distributed management facility with centralized

control. DL can be used for storing and providing access for internal users and other associates to e-Journals,

e-Books, Thesis reports, Project Reports and other freely accessible documents. The administrator of DL can be

the Librarian.
