    n Users having the necessary permissions are allowed tocreate new shared workspaces

    n Beside a name and description of the new shared

    workspaces the user has to decide about the permissionpolicy:

    n Public every user allowed to work with sharedworkspaces can launch the workspace

    n Restricted only users accepted by the workspacemanager can access the workspace. User not beingmember yet can apply for membership

    n Private users can only be added to the member list ofthe workspace by the workspace manager. Theseworkspaces dont show up in the workspace directory

    list

    n Initially the workspaces are in unpublished state. Oncethe intital content population is done the manager canpublish the workspace.
