FOREWORD
Entrepreneurship and Talent Development Cell has completed 4 years now. In
the fourth year from its inception, the cell has taken remarkable steps by
organizing a series of skill-enhancing workshops for students, Aspiring women
Entrepreneurs etc. “Young Minds”, a campus company ( a company inside
college campus formed by students) was commenced to let students not just
learn skills, but also practice them. “Vyapar”, a trade fair organized by students
is yet another manifestation of entrepreneurial and management skills. A
Business Plan Contest was organized which is the launch pad for aspiring
entrepreneurs.
On the talent development front, a bunch of guest lectures and interactions with
corporate persons were organized to facilitate deeper understanding of
corporate affairs. Again, student presentations were organized every week under
“Corporate Gateway” to provide a platform for students to learn, analyze and
present various issues of corporate world. Rotary Youth Leadership Award
programme was organized for students. Apart from shaping their employable
skills, the cell went on further in arranging in-off campus placements and got
them employed.
A glance at the numbers will highlight the noteworthy efforts taken by the cell -
6 student workshops, 4 short term courses, 1 workshop for Aspiring Women
Entrepreneurs, 36 students getting certification in the course “Becoming an
Entrepreneur”, 6 placements, 36 student-hour presentations of corporate affairs,
etc.
As many opportunities unfold, we step into the fifth year with renewed focus,
increased scope and heightened enthusiasm and hope to reach and include
many more students in our fold.
