Collegiate DECA’s Year of Engagement Begins In New York City Collegiate DECA’s Engage program is designed to promote a year-long connection between our members and DECA’s National Advisory Board (NAB) by connecting students and advisors with the companies and organizations that partner with DECA in your community, at the ENGAGE Conference in New York City, and finally at the 2018 Collegiate DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Washington, D.C. The focus of the engagement for 2017-2018 is the development or enhancement of an online presence management strategy. To learn more about all of this year’s opportunities to engage do to decadirect.org and use engage in your key word search.

The ENGAGE Conference (#CDECAENGAGE) will provide student members and advisors opportunities to connect with some of the world’s largest brands as you immerse yourselves in the heart of New York City and explore how DECA’s top partners build and maintain their online reputation. Meet the ENGAGE showcase companies for each of the five career/industry areas, who are also Collegiate DECA’s most committed National Advisory Board (NAB) partners, as they pull out all the stops to help prepare members for successful careers.

Learn and network with our national partners to create lasting connections and opportunities for chapter resources, internships and employment. The team case study in New York is your chance to pitch your case study ideas to the NAB companies before the video submission is due.

ENGAGE Case Study Video Challenge and the Collegiate DECA ICDC Continue engaging these showcase companies after the ENGAGE Conference by connecting with local representatives in your community. Take advantage of your company connections in New York as you work in teams to create a short video about the company’s online presence management. Submission Due Date: November 20, 2017. After attending ENGAGE in New York City and submitting a video for Engage Challenge you will be well on your way to competing in DECA’s Business Research Event at ICDC.

This year-round effort to engage some of DECA’s biggest partners will not only lead to competitive event success, but create industry networks that will last a lifetime. It’s time to Engage all the connections Collegiate DECA has waiting for you!
