Marketing Magazine is pleased to present the inaugural Southeast Asian edition of the Asia eCommerce Awards.The inaugural premier event celebrates exceptional websites, platforms, suppliers, and marketing from in-house teams and agencies excellence across Southeast Asia, South Asia and ANZ regions.

From service providers to contractors and everyone behind the scenes, the Awards honours the very best of e-tailers, innovations and campaigns the eCommerce industry in the region has to offer.

We have 28 highly relevant categories to enter – with Gold, Silver and Bronze awards up for grabs, and the best agency, marketplace and merchant taking home the coveted overall titles of eCommerce Agency of the Year and eCommerce Merchant of the Year and eCommerce Marketplace of the Year.

Winners of the Asia eCommerce Awards represent the best in eCommerce community, and will be celebrated at a gala dinner ceremony on 29 November at InterContinental Singapore. The finalists and winners will be decided by a distinguished panel of judges comprising senior-level professionals from brands and eCommerce industry leaders.

If you are concerned about a potential conflict of interest, rest assured that our awards committee will ensure that judges do not assess and evaluate their own work, or their competitors’ work, and all sensitive information will be kept strictly confidential.

SUBMISSION OVERVIEWThis document is designed to assist you with your entry submission.

Please read the following instructions and requirements to ensure your entries are submitted successfully.

All entries, supporting documents, and required items can be submitted online at: https://www.marketing-interactive.com/asia-ecommerce-awards/sg/entry-submission

The entry deadline is 14 September 2018. Now extended to 19th October 2018.

Important: To ensure a fair result, Marketing enforces a system where judges will not have access to entries submitted by their own organisation or other organisations from the same industry.

ELIGIBILITYThe Asia eCommerce Awards honours the very best of brands, innovations and campaigns.

The eligibility period is from 1 July 2017 to 31 August 2018. Campaigns must have launched or debuted during this period.

Entrants must have an office in the eligible region, and work must have been carried out for a regional and/or global market that includes these regions.

All categories are open to marketers and their respective agencies, suppliers, and manufacturers. Agencies and vendors may submit entries on behalf of their clients.

eCommerce companies and/or Agencies who submitted the entries on behalf of the clients will be credited only if there is at least 80% of work involvement in planning and executing an event marketing campaign with clients.

Entrants may submit the same campaign in multiple categories but should outline how each fit the specific category at hand. There is no limit to the number of entries an entrant may submit.

Entries carried out in partnership between organisations are welcome too. However, entrant must designate a leading agency for each of the joint campaign as only ONE agency will be recognised in each winning campaign.

5. Only a maximum of 10 supporting files will be allowed.

6. Filenames should not include any special characters, such as &, _, (, @, #, $, %, and the like. Please keep your filenames short and simple. In order for your files to be uploaded smoothly, the file names should only contain alphanumerical characters and not contain spaces.

Important Notes: • Entries done in any other format will NOT be accepted. • Altering the submission template or deleting any words from the slides may result in a 30% deduction of total marks.

Judges will be looking out for:• How Rich Media, Social Media was effectively employed, and the Results/ROI• Security and privacy measures put in place• Customer feedback received• Development of online propositions, in terms of: • successful campaigns • innovations • customer focus, engagement, retention and experience achieved success across a range of areas to have really driven customer engagement. Areas may include: • cross-channel integration, introduction of new payment options, speed and ease of user journey, launch of new channels and upselling between the channels

Development (Max 500 words) 30%The judges will be looking for: • Evidence of engaging, relevant and appropriate content for the identified audience. • Framework of the structure, the organisation of content, and the prioritisation of information is consistent, intuitive and transparent. • High quality design which emphasises functionality and anticipates a wide diversity of user needs.

Execution and Innovation (Max 500 words) 30%Judges will be looking to see that:• The execution catered to the needs of consumers and created a delightful user experience. • User interaction with the solution was seamless and consistent. • The work was consistent with the original idea and demonstrates innovation. • The work was significant and compelling when compared with the market.

JUDGING CRITERIA (CATEGORIES 6-20)Results (Max 450 words) 20%Judges want to see that:

The platform has impacted businesses and industries in a measurable and meaningful way. Examples of a measurable and meaningful impact: • Personalised flow of information to allow a better customer experience. • High customer engagement with online shop and social accounts. • High conversion rates, excellent SEO. • Demonstrable ROI, etc.

6. Best Customer Retention Programme Recognises companies that have launched the best online customer retention programmes. Entrants must show how they have gone the extra mile to ensure online shoppers come back for further purchases through various strategies.

7. Best eCommerce Customer Service Recognises eCommerce platforms with truly interactive and good quality customer service, including pre and post-sales. Entrants must demonstrate how the design of the platform not only facilitates, but also provides a best-in-class customer service.

8. Best DesignRecognises eCommerce platforms that give users a truly seamless and intuitive experience through design/redesign/UX design strategies to satisfy customers’ growing expectations for an all-rounded platform, that facilitates ease of use across multiple touch-points and who keep up with the ever-changing context of the digital world.

9. Best eCommerce Security & PrivacyRecognises the best eCommerce platforms that provide good security & privacy; security protocols like an encryption, authentication, public key infrastructure, digital signature and confidentiality to minimise the risk in security which enable shoppers to have a secure online shopping and payment, as well as preventing fraud and keeping the site safe.

10. Best eCommerce Shipping and Delivery Recognises the best eCommerce logistics and supply chains that enable seamless delivery processes, and who best connect goods with consumers or storefronts.

11. Best eCommerce Strategies Recognises companies which best used online platforms as strategy to communicate brand image and offerings to customers. Entries must demonstrate how the platform/platforms used alone or combined offered a unique online shopping experience and contributed to business performance.

12. Best eCommerce Solution Recognises the best eCommerce solution offered to the industry by agencies. Awards for this category will go to the agencies who provided exceptional technology services and solutions to eCommerce clients from platform design to search analysis, programmatic solutions and more.

13. Best Omni-Channel Process Recognises an eCommerce process that successfully blurred the line between offline and online. Awards for this category will go to eCommerce businesses that provide shoppers with an integrated and seamless experience across platforms and between brick-and-mortar and online storefronts.

14. Best Platform ExperienceRecognises eCommerce platforms and companies that drive eCommerce sales, increase consumer engagement and change consumer buying behaviour, through a seamless in-platform experience with the most intuitive user interface, through elements like the in-platform search engine, or the on-App interface.

15. Best Use of Social Media Recognises companies that best used social media to engage online shoppers. Entries must demonstrate how they attracted traffic to eCommerce platforms with a collection of social media strategies used (at least three types of social media) which ultimately boosted business performance.

CAMPAIGN AWARDS

16. Best AdWords eCommerce Campaign Recognises the best AdWords campaign that attracted shoppers’ attention and identified a target audience. Entrants must present quantifiable results demonstrating how the AdWords campaign successfully drove traffic and ultimately led to higher brand awareness and business growth.

17. Best Cross-border eCommerce Campaign Recognises the best eCommerce campaign that attracted shoppers’ attention and encouraged cross-border online purchase. Entrants must present quantifiable results demonstrating how the campaign successfully drove traffic and ultimately led to higher brand awareness and business growth.

18. Best Content Markerting eCommerce Campaign Recognises the most innovative and best content marketing strategy that engaged a target audience and maximised the eCommerce performance. Entrants must present quantifiable results demonstrating how the eCommerce marketing campaign successfully drove traffic and ultimately led to higher brand awareness and business growth.

19. Best Mobile eCommerce Campaign Recognises the best mobile marketing strategy which changed consumer buying behaviour and drove positive business results. Entrants must present quantifiable results demonstrating how the mobile marketing campaign successfully drove traffic and ultimately led to higher brand awareness and business growth.

20. Best Social Media eCommerce Campaign Recognises the best social media advertising campaign which captured shoppers’ attention, engaged a target audience and encouraged purchase. Entrants must present quantifiable results demonstrating how the social media campaign successfully drove traffic and ultimately led to higher brand awareness and business growth.

OVERALL AWARDS

21. eCommerce Agency of the Year 2018 (Not for Entry)Awarded to the Agency that performs best across the Specialist and Campaign categories (Nos. 7-23) at the Asia eCommerce Awards 2018. This category is not open for entry.

22. eCommerce Brand of the Year 2018 (Not for Entry)Bestowed upon the winner that outperforms all other entrants in the Merchant, Specialist and Campaign categories (Nos. 1-23) at the Asia eCommerce Awards. This category is not open for entry.

TERMS & CONDITIONSThe entrant grants Marketing magazine permission to show material from the entries at the awards presentation, in the magazine and at any time as deemed appropriate.

Please note that after the submission deadline, all details on the entry submission form, including company names, credits and so on, are FINAL and can NOT be changed and/or transferred to another party.

Details will be presented accordingly on the prize announcements as well as on trophies and/or any other awards-related materials. Any changes made after submission will be charged 10% entry fee.

Finalists need to be present, or appoint a representative to be present, at the awards gala dinner in order to receive their trophy(ies) should they win. Entrants who win but forego the gala dinner can arrange to collect their trophies at standard trophy duplicate rates.

The decisions of Marketing magazine in all matters relating to the Asia eCommerce Awards 2018 shall be final and binding.

Entry fees are non-refundable. Entries will not be considered for judging if payment is not received by the submission deadline.

Should your entry be shortlisted, your entry details found on the online registration site will be reflected on the website and trophy (presented on the awards night). The reflected text will be case-sensitive. No changes to the submitted entries can be made after the submission deadline.

The judges’ decisions are final.

* The overall winner is decided based the following weightage. The entrant who gets the highest point will be crowned overall winner.

All judges of the Asia eCommerce Awards 2018 are bound by a Non-Disclosure Agreement covering confidentiality, conflicts of interest, and contact with entrants.

Without prior notice, Marketing magazine reserves the right to merge categories or dissolve any categories should it be deemed necessary. Should a category or categories be dissolved, entries in that category/categories will not be refunded.

The entrant agrees that Marketing magazine or Lighthouse Independent Media will not accept responsibility for errors or omissions reproduced in the presentation of Marketing magazine or for work lost or damaged under any circumstances.
