    GUARANTEED WATER SUPPLY FOR THE ENTIRE SNOWMAKING SYSTEMSnow is produced during increasingly short time frames. A sound snowmaking concept requires a sufficient water volume. Reservoirs guarantee the required water supply for the system and therefore ensure water availability during the snow production period.

    RESERVOIRDEMACLENKO offers various solutions from small reservoir basins to large reservoir lakes with volumes up to over 450.000 m (120,000,000 gall.).

    CIRCULATION WITH COMPRESSED AIRCirculation is used to reduce the water temperature, keep the water surface free of ice and prevent algae forming in the summer. The DEMACLENKO reservoir aeration system is planned and implemented individually for every water reservoir.

    WATER INFLOWSHigher-lying springs are generally fed directly into the reservoir. In most cases, ad-ditional water is fed into the reservoir from nearby streams and rivers using supply pumping stations.

  • As the centerpiece of every snowmaking system, the pumping station performs the fol-lowing key tasks:- FEEDING WATER INTO THE RESERVOIRS- PRESSURE BOOSTING AND WATER DELIVERY TO THE SNOW GUNS

    Pumping stations for snowmaking systems operate for a relatively short period over an entire year. That makes it all the more important to ensure 100% system availability during snowmaking operation. To meet this requirement, every DEMACLENKO pumping station is specified exactly for its use case. Premium quality components are used exclusively.

    PUMPSFor water delivery and pressure boosting, DEMACLENKO uses reliable pumps from most reputable manufacturers. These pumps are available in pressure classes up to 100 bar. Depending on the application, submersible pumps or dry mounted centrifugal pumps are used. The latter can be single-stage or multi-stage pumps. The electric drive is im-plemented via soft starters or can be continuously controlled using frequency inverters. The pumps are sized based on the throughput or delivery head required. DEMACLENKO offers mobile pump systems available in 2 different versions for snowmaking for small to medium-sized surfaces or for temporary solutions where no permanently installed infra-structures are available. The standalone pump version supplies up to 2 snow guns with the water required and is installed directly on a carriage or operated via a dedicated control cabinet. Alternatively, DEMACLENKO offers specially equipped snow guns with a booster pump already permanently installed on the product.

    CONTROL AND ELECTRONIC ENGINEERINGDEMACKLENKO plans and implements all control and electronic engineering systems. We can rely on the many years of experience of our affiliate com-pany LEITNER ropeways. We apply their high security and quality standards from the passenger transport sector to DEMACLENKO snowmaking systems.

    SELF-CLEANING FILTERAn automatic backwash filter permits in-terruption-free operation of the system, even when the filter is being cleaned. The system is flushed after set periods or automatically based on the differential pressure caused by soiling.

    WATER STERILIZATION (UV DISINFECTION SYSTEM)If necessary, a UV disinfection system can be incorporated. The UV treatment allows complete reduction of the germs verifiable in the water.

  • COMPRESSOR STATION: FOR SYSTEMSWITH A CENTRAL COMPRESSED AIR SUPPLY

    Technical snow, like natural snow, consists of water and air. Every snow gun has to be supplied with water, energy and compressed air. Compressed air can be generated directly in the snow gun or in a central compressor station. If there is a central compres-sed air supply, it is distributed via a PE pipeline system. DEMACLENKO uses compressors by renowned manufacturers like Atlas Copco or Compair.

    Ventilation systems are planned and installed to optimize the compressed air and chamber temperature.

    Via multiple filter stages, the treated pure compressed air is routed to the central compressed air system without water and oil residues.

  • CABLING: SPECIAL MATERIALS FOR SPECIAL APPLICATIONS

    ELECTRICITY CABLESDEMACLENKO uses aluminum or copper cables in accordance with the valid natio-nal standards for the high voltage cables. The cables have a cross section of up to 240 mm and can be laid directly in the soil or in a cable conduit.

    GROUNDINGNormally, a galvanized steel grounding wire with a diameter of 10 mm is used in accordance with the regulations. The grounding system connects the entire field installation and provides over-voltage and lightning protection.

    COMMUNICATION CABLEIn automatic systems, the individual snow guns and pumping station are inte-grated in a data network. Communicati-on between the snow gun and the cont-rol station can be implemented wirelessly or via a communications cable, using a high-grade, shielded copper telecommu-nication cable as the communications cable. By contrast, the data connection between the different components of the pumping station is primarily imple-mented with fiber optic cables.

  • PITSWhen designing the tapping points, DEMACLENKO pays particular attention to the question of installation and maintenance, but also to safety and work convenience. DEMACLENKO offers pits of concrete (series C) or fibreglass reinforced plastic (series Z). Both types are ideal for use in the snowmaking sector. As we prefabricate the parts, they can be installed on the construction site quickly and easily, and are suitable for all types of ground. The pits are specially shaped to allow pleasant working, as there is very generous space inside. There are double hatches in the pits, so that one can be used exclusively for access, while the second, thanks to its flange connection, can accommodate any type of snowmaker from mobile versions to lances and even tower-mounted fan guns. This means that separate foundations are no longer required to fix snowmakers in a permanent location. In addition, the pits contain all the connections for water, air, electricity and control. For this rea
