Ideally,amodernAmericanSpaceshouldconformtoOpenAccessPrinciples,including:

ConsiderationsforU.S.Governmentversusnon-USGSpaces
TherearevariationsinrequirementsandstandardsforUSGAmericanSpaces(AmericanCenters)andnon-USGpartnerAmericanSpaces(AmericanCornersandBinationalCenters).Forexample,USGSpacesmayhavedifferentsecurityrequirementsandopenaccesspoliciesthanpartnerSpaces.
AmericanSpaces(USGandnon-USG)arevenuesforwhole-of-missionpublicdiplomacyprogram-ming,suchasactivitiesoftheambassadorandthepolitical,economicandconsularsections,inadditiontopublicaffairsprogramming.AmericanSpacesrepresentthemissionandthegreaterUnitedStatesandshouldreflectthisinthetechnology,staffing,andoveralllookandfeelofthespace.AgoodworkingrelationshipbetweenthePublicAffairsSectionandBureauofInformationResource

What Is Bold and Dynamic Programming?
Boldanddynamicprogramsshouldbeinnovative,fun,thought-provoking,creative,
exciting,unique,andaboveall,mission-driven.AnyAmericanSpace,regardlessofsize,willplanafullrosterof“boldanddynamic”programseachyearwithastrongfocusondigitalprogramming.Theseprogramsmaybeamixofparticipant-drivenprograms,suchasweeklyconversationclubs,filmclubs,ordebateclubs,moreformalPost-ledprogramsthatalignwiththelocalintegratedcountrystrategy(ICS)andpublicdiplomacygoals,orpartner-ledprogramsthatcapitalizeonaparticularexpertiseorskillset,suchasdigitalliteracy.
Activeprogrammingcanexemplifypolicythemesandcouldinclude:
• Adebateeventorseriestofacilitatelearningaboutandspeakingpersuasivelyabouttwosidesofapolicy-relatedissue,strengtheningresearchskills,andpromotingEnglishlanguagelearning.
