    N ot only the life of the m an , b ut also the history of m otor racing: the m echan ical solutions,

    the extrem e p erform an ce, the sim plicity o f the construction, the aerod ynam ics thatsustained the so phisticated eng ineering w orking closely w ith the form , and the styling that

    w as alw ays orig inal, p ersonal and reco gnisab le.

    E nzo F errari invented the id ea of the racing car cam ouflag ed as a G T . H is revolutionary m ind

    created the road car that w as read y for the race track, w ith a few m inor changes: from the

    A lfa R om eo of Scud eria F errari to the Ferrari 166 w ith a T ouring Sup erleg gera b ody.

    In parallel w ith Enzo F erraris d evelop m en t and innovative id eas, the exhib ition The orig ins

    of the M yth, curated b y G iovan ni P erfetti, w hich alternates betw een his B irthp lace an d the

    new G allery, traces the history and evolution of a unique territory, a reality that is universally

    reco g nised , w hich has g en erated extrem ely sig nificant technical id eas that are d ifficu lt to

    rep roduce.

    T he exhib ition focuses o n the co ntrib ution that M od ena h as m ad e over the years to

    g enerations of d rau ghtsm en , engineers, carm akers, stylists, d rivers an d fan s all over thew orld, w ith refined p roducts that are eleg ant, w ell-co nstructed an d stylistically im p eccab le.

    T he h ouse w here E nzo F errari w as b orn in 1898 hosts the m ultim ed ia installation that g uid es

    the visitor throug h that period : a video in 8 chap ters that traces the salient events in the life

    of the great D rake.

    In the years that follow ed , in 1950 to be precise, the A erautod rom e w as inaug urated , w here

    cars could be b uilt and m od ified , an d their lap results m easured just one hour later. F errari

    and M aserati p layed a strategic role, b ut so d id the sm all m anufacturers an d tuning sho ps

    (Stan guellini, A lf Fran cis, N eri & B onacini, an d T om M ead e), co achb uild ers (F antuzzi,
