Part 1 Products Instruction 1.1 Product Feature

EoC Broadband Access soltuon including EoC Master series and Eoc Slave series and Network Management Software NMS1000(normal version)/NMS2000(advanced version)

Eoc Master Series including ANM9002/9001/8004/8002/8001/ANM7001/7002/6001(U)/6004(U) are based on IEEE 1901 (Draft), and downwards compatible with HomePlug AV protocol. These products can transmit/receive ethernet signals over CATV coaxial cable, occupy low-frequency band outside the frequency range of the existing CATV. Their function is over the same HFC network with existing DOCSIS system, no need to restructure existing HFC network, well adapt to the diversified topologies of existing broadcasting & TV networks.

EoC Master consist of basic units (including control switching backplane), uplink optical data module, optical reception module, and CLT line card module, and adopt scalable, hot swappable, and modular architecture for flexible network capacity expansion

Part 2 Configuration Instruction

2.1 System Management

2.1.1 System Information

This configuration include product informationand Host information

2.2 Devices Management

With Devices Management of the port, you can set port parameter, get the port statistical information and port status and set VLAN of the related port.

2.2.1 PORT

Managenent Status: If Enable, this port can transmit and exchange data stream. If Disable, the port can be connected but can transmit and exchange data stream

Self-adaption: When you start using Self-adaption,the port will negotiate port speed with the

connected devices.And when you turn off Self-adaption,the port won’t negotiate port speed with the connected devices and compel current speed of the port

Flow Control: Duplex: There are six mode of the 10M/100M/1000M port as following

10Mbps/HD:10M (Half Duplex) 10Mbps/FD:10M ( Duplex) 100Mbps/HD:100M (Half Duplex) 100Mbps/FD:100M (Half Duplex) 1000Mbps/FD:1000M (Half Duplex)

PORT VLAN: The default Port VLAN ID, for short”PVID”. When you enable 802.1Q VALN mode,

ANM7002 will add PVID to data frames and find and transmit the VLAN team if data frames have no 802.1Q VLAN TAG(When ANM7002 is working with PORT VLAN mode or PROTECTED VLAN mode,the PVID setting of ANM7002 cann’t be amended)

PORT STASTICAL INFORMATION: This function will stastic how many data bytes, data frames,

broadcast frames, multicast frames, wrong frames received or transmitted by every port.

2.2.2 VLAN

ANM7002 support 802.1Q VLAN mode.

IEEE802.1Q define a new frame format. It add a Tag Header after the original address of the standard Ethernet frame as following:

VLAN ID:This function set tag of VLAN to identify VLAN.The VLAN ID range is 1-4095 Untag Port:These ports only belong to one VLAN and cann’t belong to multi-VLAN. VLAN Broadcast Area: This function define the transmission range of VLAn frames. The port out of

VLAN cann’t receive any frame from the VLAN.You can set the property of port in VLAN as TAG or UNTAG. If set as TAG member, all data frame from this port will be marked with VLAN TAG and the VLAN ID in the VLAN TAG is the VLAN ID of VLAN Broad Area. If set as UNTAG member, all data frame from this port won’t be marked with VLAN TAG. ANM7002 can support up to 4K VLAN Bbroadcast Area.

Port Default VID: When the Master cann’t know to which VLAN the frame belong from the TAG header of a frame, it will judge which VLAN the frame belong to by the default VID of the port through which the frame enter the Master.

You can set multi-VLAN while on eport can belong to multi-VLAN. There is a VLAN chart and every

item in the chart is has a corresponding VLAN Broadcast Area. All data packet that flow through the device will find VLAN chart according to the VLAN ID of this data packet(if no VLAN TAG in the dada package, then according to PVID of the inflow port).If the data packet can find the corresponding item in the chart and the port is aso a in the VLAN Broadcast Area the data package can be send accurately from the port otherwise the data packet will be disgarded.

2.3 USER MANAGEMENT

This function can allow you to check the existing user name of ANM7002,add/delete user,amend user pass word, set management pass word, give the user administration authority

2.3.1 USER LIST

The User List of ANM7002,shows all user names that log in ANM7002.The user just need to add one new user name before accessing control and management in the name of the new user.

2.3.2 ADDING

You can add many IDs including normal user ID and administrator ID to manage the device.

2.3.3 EDIT

You need to appoint user name before amending and qiving user rights. In ANM7002,the super administrator can amen any user rights and amend relevant access right

2.3.4 DELETE

You can delete any user ID and withdraw the relevant right except administer ID

2.4 SYSTEM SETTING

2.4.1SAVING SETTING

This function can save any operation setting and the saving setting is for overall situation in ANM7002.

2.4.2Downlaod

This function is for updating new software version or restore old software version

2.4.3RESTORE DEFAULT SETTING

This function can restore the software to the default setting.

2.5 EoC MANAGEMENT

2.5.1 DEVICE LIST

This function can check the device and show the device information such as whether or not online, enrolling, belonging to white list . It also can amend online registered device parameters

2.5.2 DEVICE REGISTER

This function can register new devices.In this function you can write user description, speed limitation of the setting device and the allowed MAC address number, broadcast storm suppression,

terminal device port parameter, VLAN setting information.

2.5.2.1 Status Information This function can check the MAC address, device type, software version, contact address and

device description.

2.5.2.2 Message Statistics This function can check the data message information receiving and sending by the device port

2.5.2.3 Signal Statistics This function can check the signal parameter information receiving and sending by the devicet

2.5.2.4 EDIT This function can edit enrolling terminal device and set the MAC address, user name, contact

telno, contact address, device description, download/uplink speed, limitation of MAC address number, broadcast storm suppression, LAN port parameter, Rate Duplex mode, priority, into the port speed limitation/out the port speed limitation, port status, VLAN mode and PVID informatiom

2.5.2.5 QoS Set

This function can set QoS priority information of the device

2.5.2.6 Update This function can update terminal devices

2.5.2.7 Management This function can re-start terminial devices

2.5.3 White List

EoC Master has White List set function. You need enable the White List to set the device Registered or unregistered users all can belong to White List simultaneously or don’t belong to

White List respectively. White List can control terminal accessing, only the terminal in White Liat can get the service. The

default set for White List is turnoff. When White List is enable, Registered or unregistered terminals have different White List default strategy and set strategy respectively. And the registered terminal has White List control function for single device.

2.5.4 Update Set

This function can choose the way to update the software. You can update the software by tftp or flp with the Master. If updating by tflp, you need appont updating serve address and the file name while updating by ftp, you need appiont updating serve address and the use name, pass word and file name.

2.6 Exit Login

This function can exit login of the current user and get back to login interface

Part 3 Out-of-band Management This function can manage EoC Master with serial port and doesn’t occupy network bandwith.

3.1 Connection with Out-of-band

You need a PC or terminal emulation software for example the Hyper Terminal or Windows OS First, please connect the serial port of ANM7002(In this manual, we take ANM7002 as sample) with

Part 4 Telnet Manage Telnet management and SSH management can remote manage EoC Master by it’s RJ45 port,

which will occupy somen network bandwith. SSH management is encrypted security access.

Note: Telnet management and SSH management are different with serial port management only in physical link. All Command are same with CLL command of serial port management.

4.1 How to connect Telnet

For this function, you need a PC with TCP/IP protocal. First, please enter command” service telnet enable” in Console of your PC to enable Telnet function. And connect EoC Master with PC by cable through their RJ45 port. Then set the network adaptor of the PC and make the PC and ANM7002 in the same network segment.

4.2 Device Telnet Connection

Please click “run” in your PC windows OS (WIN7) and input “cmd” in the dialog. Please click OK then the following dialog appear.

Please input “Telnet 192.168.1.254” and click <Enter> to enter Telent management interface. Please input user name and pass word(all are “admin” in default setting)

4.3 How to connect SSH

Part 7 EoC Project Demostration To help you understand better the usage of EoC products, in this part we make detailed demonstration for two kinds of practical network application with our EoC devices.

7.1 Sign Service Mode

A community has the following requirement for broadband network access

Upgrade existing HFC network of the community, make it bear broadband network access and digital television or some VOIP service.

Two line cable television signal output after one OLT Services with different users are isolated Uplink between EoC Master’s PON interface to OLT in the central office of Local side Administrator can remote manage the whole network of user side Uplink speed limitation is 1Mbps and download speed limitation is 10mbps for every user

7.1.1 EoC Device Collocating Illustration (We use Master ANM7002&Slaver ANS4003WV in this

case)

ANM7002 work with cable terminal ANS4003.The connection mode between ANM7002 and ANS4003WV is single point to multi-point by taps.

ANM7002’s PON interface work as uplinker business interface ANS4003WV’s segregating ability can make certain the service isolation among the users Set ANM7002’s management VLAN according to actual demand for remote management(we

3 Set EoC Slave ANS4003 Device Register:

Step 1:EOC Manage→Device Register Step 2:Write terminal device MAC address, User Name, telephone, Contact Address, Discription Step 3:Please input “1024” and “10240” in Uplink Limit and Downlink Limit then click <apply register>.The default VLAN setting is VLAN1

Note:The defaulting setting is VLAN1.If you want to use other VLAN, please add the port to relevant VLAN. For example, If the VID of terminal is 99,the communicating port with the terminal need set corresponding VID : add the port to VLAN99

7.2 Multi-service Mixed Mode
