NOTICE FOR INVITATION OF EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)

First Date of Publication: October 22, 2014 (2071/07/05)

1. Government of Nepal (G0N) has received development grant and credit to implement the Project for Strengthening the

National Rural Transport Program (SNRTP), from the International Development Association (IDA). A Part of this

financial assistance (grant) is to be used for consultancy services for hiring individual consultants as mentioned below:

x Environmental Safeguard Consultant(ESC) 16 (Sixteen) Nos.

2. This EOI notice has been uploaded on the website www.dolidar.gov.np/notice/individual/expert &

http://ioe.edu.np/consultant

3. The interested candidates for the respective consultancy services; are informed to visit the website: http://ioe.edu.np/consultant for necessary information and the formats to be filled by them. The Terms of References

(ToRs), and other relevant documents corresponding to the interested consulting services; shall be uploaded on October

27, 2014 (2071/07/10) at websitehttp://ioe.edu.np/consultant 4. The applicants are informed to submit their respective EOIs and other documents asked as per respective ToR latest by

November 10, 2014 (2071/07/24). The submission shall be done through online submission system. The applicants who

want to submit hard copies; may submit the all documents in Continuing Education Division/Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk, Lalitpur, Nepal; during office hours.

5. The applicant who fails to download the format from the website as stated; is advised to contact the Continuing

Education Division/Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk, Lalitpur, Nepal. The name and contact no. of the person in the said organization is as:

6. The applicants interested corresponding to consulting services as per Para "1(viii,ix and x) shall have to fill the format displayed on the website: http://ioe.edu.np/consultant along with the submission of the documents as asked there. Their

selection is totally based on the written test; for which the course of contents can be downloaded from the website.

7. The applicants interested corresponding to consulting services as per Para "1(i,ii,iii,iv,v, vi, and vii) shall have to fill the format displayed on the website: http://ioe.edu.np/consultant along with the submission of the EoI, proposal and other

documents as asked there. Their selection is totally based on the approved evaluation criteria as stated in respective ToR.

The proposal writing will be with respect to the documents such as respective Terms of Reference (ToR), Project Appraisal Document (PAD), Project Operation Manual (POM), Environmental and Social Management Framework

(ESMF). These all documents can be downloaded from the website: http://ioe.edu.np/consultant

8 After the deadline for submission of the EOI and other required documents; the information on the next due process will be notified by Continuing Education Division/Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk, Lalitpur, Nepal through electronic

media and notice published in the notice board of the stated entity.

9. The late submission of the EOIs shall not be considered. 10. If the hard copy submission of the EoI falls on the Public Holiday, those activities will be furnished on the next office day

during office hours.

11. The selection of the consultants shall be according to procurement guidelines for: SELECTION AND EMPLOYMENT OF CONSULTANTS BY WORLD BANK BORROWERS of January, 2011.

12. The consultants as Para "1 (vii,viii, ix and x) will be posted and shall work in residence in any of the following districts

for their services: Project Management Unit (Hetauda): Sankhusabha, Terehthum, Bhojpur, Saptari, Udaypur, Siraha, Dhanusha,

Mahottari, Sarlahi, Rauthat, Bara, Parsa, Makwanpur, Rasuwa, Nuwakot and, Dhading.

Project Management Unit (Butwal): Tanhun, Kaski, Syangja, Palpa, Gulmi, Arghakhanchi, Kapilbastu, Rupandehi, Nawalparasi, Dang, Pyuthan, Salyan, Surkhet, Banke, Bardiya, Kailali and, Kanchanpur.

13. The consultants as Para "1(i,ii,iii,iv,v,and vi ) will be posted and shall work in residence in any of the following PMU for

their services: Project Management Unit (Hetauda)

Project Management Unit (Butwal)

14. Any form of canvassing, soliciting or influencing will be treated as disqualification. 15. The detail information are stated in ToR.
