Ponsse and Epec are establishing the unit for designing the software and automation of mobile work machines jointly. The aim is to ensure the continued availability of top experts in the fields of software and automation. The R&D unit will be located in Kampusareena, which is a hub of science, research and technology located at the heart of the campus of Tampere University of Technology. Ponsse and Epec will arrange a recruiting and information event in the new premises on November 3, 2017 and the operations are scheduled to begin before the end of the year. Epec released 3610control unit June 28th We proudly present a new Control Unit, Epec 3610, that was released before the summer. This product introduces several new features in a compact and robust enclosure. Epec 3610 has an RS-232 serial port and as an assembly variant, I/O- interface that is compatible with the previous Epec 2038 Control Unit. However, Epec 3610 also comes with completely new features like high-side current measurement and an internal 3-axis accelerometer, for example, for levelling purposes. Epec 3610 also has an option for accurate Pt1000 measurement.

Meet Heidi Salokorpi, our new Sales Assistant My name is Heidi Salokorpi and I started at Epec in the beginning of August, 2017. My work history goes back to Wärtsilä, where I worked for about 8 years, primarily coordinating spare part orders for ship’s engines. I also had the opportunity to work for almost a year in a new power plant project in the Far East. My daily tasks as a Sales Assistant at Epec consists mainly of handling customers' orders and responding to their enquiries. Also the invoicing of projects and services is under my responsibility. I'm really excited about my new working environment, I’ve have learned a lot and still have much to learn. I’m happy that I get to work with such a nice people!
