Epiphany Star
In lieu of an article this month, I offer you a poem, appropriate to the be-ginning of a holy and blessed season of Lent.
Yours in Christ.
Fr. Aaron+
Dust if you must, but wouldn't it be better To paint a picture, or write a letter,
Bake a cake, or plant a seed; Ponder the difference between want and need?
Dust if you must, but there's not much time,
With rivers to swim, and mountains to climb; Music to hear, and books to read;
Friends to cherish, and life to lead.
Dust if you must, but the world's out there With the sun in your eyes, and the wind in your hair;
A flutter of snow, a shower of rain, This day will not come around again.
Dust if you must, but bear in mind, Old age will come and it's not kind. And when you go (and go you must) You, yourself, will make more dust.

As Lent begins, your parish choir is preparing anthems for the Sundays of Lent, Holy Week, and Easter.
The first Sunday of Lent , the choir will offer a spiritual I Want Jesus to Walk with Me. A duet of Stainer's
God So Loved the World will follow the next Sunday. Other offerings will be My Savior and my God and
Come, The Fount of Every Blessing. There will be a Taizé chant at Communion each Sunday for congre-
gational singing and the Psalms will be sung. The liturgy will change for the penitential season including
a Kyrie and a sung Fraction Anthem. We appreciate your support and prayers during this busy time. Re-
member to join the choir for coffee and fellowship after the 10:30 service on the 15th!
Musically yours,
Cheri

tions. Please refrain from pizza as pizza is our last minute go-to meal
in the event a meal is not provided. We invite you to join us for the meal and our planned activity. If
cooking is not your thing but you would like to help, please donate $40 to EYC to help us purchase
food to prepare a meal (be sure to note EYC meal in the memo area of your check).

HAPPENING is one of those things that must
be experienced to be fully understood. During
the three-day weekend, the participants spend
time seriously considering the person and
teaching of Jesus Christ in a relaxed, fun, in-
formal and loving atmosphere. They are pro-
vided with opportunities to share, discuss,
learn and live with fellow Christians in an envi-
ronment of acceptance and understanding.
