Introduction: ePortfolios• Problems

– We ask students to develop ePortfolios without clear goals for their uses & purposes or associated intended learning outcomes.

– What kind of learning activities can teachers design with the use of ePortfolios for students?

– How can we assess students’ ePortfolios? Should we assess the work posted there or the whole portfolio? What criteria should I apply?

Introduction: ePortfolios• Outcomes Based Teaching &

Learning (OBTL)– ePortfolio itself as an outcome?– ePortfolio as a teaching & learning activity?– ePortfolio used for assessment purposes?

– What are the course intended learning outcomes?

– Is the portfolio the end or means?
