  • DAY 11 - JERUSALEM/ HOLY CITY/BETH-LEHEM / CHURCH OF THE NATIVITY/ CHURCH OF VISITATION/ BETHLEHEM UNIVERSITY/SHEPHERD’S FIELDSOn the first day in Jerusalem we head to the vil-lage of Ein Karem, the birthplace of St. John the Baptist and to the Church of Visitation where the Blessed Virgin Mary visited her cousin, Elizabeth, and proclaimed the ‘Magnificent’. Continue to Bethlehem to visit the University, the only Catholic University in the Holy Land, which is supported by the Order. In the after-noon, we drive to the Shepherd’s Fields where the angels announced the birth of Jesus. Then we visit the Church of the Nativity in Bethle-hem that stands upon the site where Jesus was born and celebrate Mass. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.Mass at the Church of Nativity

    DAY 12 - THE WILDERNESS: BETHANY/ JERICHO/ MT. TEMPTATION/ DEAD SEAThe desert east of Jerusalem is rich in Christian tradition. Further east, just off the Roman road that Jesus walked, is Wadi Qelt gorge, site of the Monastery of St. George. At the oasis town of Jericho, visit the excavations of the oldest city in the world and view Mt. Temptation where Jesus fasted and was tempted by Satan. On the way back there is time for a swim (or rather a float!) in the mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea, renowned for its healing properties. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Jerusalem.Mass at Mount Temptation

    DAY 13 - JERUSALEM, THE PASSION OF JESUS’ LAST HOURS: MT. OLIVES/PALM SUNDAY/ DOMINUS FLEVIT/ GETH-SEMANE/CAVE OF BETRAYAL/ CAVE OF ASSUMPTION/ PATER NOSTER/ UPPER ROOM/ST. PETER IN GALLICANTU We begin our day on the Mt. of Olives to walk the Palm Sunday route stopping at Dominus Flevit, where Jesus wept over Jerusalem.  Drive to Gethsemane, the Rock of Agony where Jesus prayed His last prayer before his arrest, to have Mass. Visit the cave of betrayal, then the cave of the Assumption of Mary to heaven.  Back on the

    Mt. of Olives we visit the Pater Noster with the Lord’s Prayer in many languages. Drive through the Kidron Valley to St. Peter in Gallicantu where Peter denied Him thrice. At the Cenacle, we visit the Upper Room of the Last Supper. We finish the day at Dormition Abbey where we believe the Blessed Mary died. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Jerusalem. Mass at the Rock of Agony

    DAY 14 - ECCE HOMO/ STATIONS OF THE CROSS/ CHURCH OF THE HOLY SEPUL-CHRE /LATIN PATRIARCH / ST. ANNES / WAILING WALLWe pass the Ecce Homo where Pilate proclaimed “Behold the man”. We begin to retrace the last steps of Jesus as we walk along the Via Dolorosa (Way of Sorrow), through the markets of the Old City praying the Stations of the Cross, we reflect on the greatness of His sacrifice.  Celebrate Sol-emn High Mass at the Holy Tomb. After break-fast at our hotel, we visit the Latin Patriarch and participate in the Pilgrim Shell Ceremony. Din-ner and overnight at the hotel in Jerusalem.Solemn High Mass at the Holy Tomb

    DAY 15 - FRANKFURT / HOUSTONThis morning, transfer to the airport and fly to Houston.

    DAY 01 - HOUSTON / FRANKFURTDepart Houston to Frankfurt. DAY 02 - FRANKFURT / LISBON / FATIMAArrive Frankfurt and change planes to Lisbon. Upon arrival into Lisbon you will be met and transferred to Fatima. En route we will stop at Santarem to see the Church of St. Stephen, site of the 13th century Eucharistic Miracle. On to Fatima for dinner and overnight.

    DAY 03 - FATIMAThis morning attend two important shrine ceremonies and visit the Aljustrel children’s houses, the Batalha with its Santa Maria de Vitoria, Nazarre and Alcabaca. In the evening join in the Candlelight Procession. Dinner and overnight in Fatima. DAY 04 - FATIMA / PORTO / SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELADepart Fatima to Porto to see the wine factory and enjoy taste sampling of the best wine, and see the church of St. Francis before continu-ing to Santiago de Compostela for dinner and overnight.

    DAY 05 - SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELASantiago de Compostela is one of the most fa-mous shrines in the world, where the tomb of St. James (brother of St. John) was discovered. St. James was given the task of spreading Christianity in the distant Hispanic lands and is known as the first pilgrim. Since the dis-covery of the tomb numerous miracles have taken place here and every year thousands of faithful gather on July 25 to celebrate the Feast Day. See the Churches of San Francisco, Santa Clara, and the Bell Tower. Dinner and overnight in Santiago.

    DAY 06 - SALAMANCADepart Santiago de Compostela to Salamanca. Salamanca is one of the most graceful city in Spain, with its architecture of the regional golden sandstone. See the Gothic Cathedral, the vast Baroque Church of La Clerecia; originally known as the Royal College of the Company of Jesus, and see the Casa de las

    Conchas, “The House of Shells”. Continue to see the Roman Bridge, the grand Plaza Mayor, and the San Marcos and San Martine Church-es. Onto your hotel for dinner and overnight in Salamanca.

    DAY 07 - AVILA / SEGOVIA / MADRIDThis morning we depart for Avila, the birth-place of St. Theresa, to visit the Cathedral and the Convent of St. Theresa. Continue to Segovia to view the 2,000-year-old Roman aqueduct and visit the “Lady of the Cathedral Church” before departing to your hotel in Madrid for dinner and overnight.

    DAY 08 - MADRID / TEL AVIV / TIBERIAS Transfer to the airport for your flight to Tel Aviv. Upon arrival, you will be met and trans-ferred to your hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight.

    DAY 09 - THE MINISTRY OF CHRIST IN THE GALILEE: TIBERIAS / BOAT RIDE ON SEA OF GALILEE/ CAPERNAUM/ MT. BE-ATITUDES Some of today’s highlights are a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee, the synagogue and St. Peter’s house in Capernaum, the Mount of Beatitudes where the Sermon on the Mount was given and on to Tabgha to see the splendid mosaic about the miracle of the loaves and fishes, and the nearby Church of Peter’s Primacy where Peter was told “Feed my lambs, feed my sheep.” Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Tiberias.Mass at Mount Beatitudes

    DAY 10 - STELLA MARIS/CANA / NAZA-RETH / MT. TABOR / JERUSALEMWe start the day stopping at Stella Maris, a Carmelite Monastery with the Madonna of Mt. Carmel. We then continue with a visit to Cana, the village of Jesus’ first miracle of changing water into wine; here couples may renew their wedding vows. Continue to Mount Tabor, scene of the Transfiguration, where we will have Mass. Afterwards drive through the Jordan Valley and then up through the Judean hills to the Holy City of Jerusalem.
