Mixed Farm

Concentration on milk and meat production

Placements involve some tractor driving and looking after other types of farm animals

International reputation for producing top class race horses and competition horses

32,000 people employed in the Horse (Equine) sector in Ireland

Placements range from large multi-national stud farms to small family yards

- students with special interests in 3 day eventing or showjumping can be accommodated

Work includes cleaning out stables, grooming horses and plenty of riding

Mostly indoor work which could include cleaning rooms and minding of children

This type of placement available during the Summer months from May to September

Ideally suit students hoping to take up careers in toursim, childcare or teaching
