Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) 

Demandfortechnicianswiththerightcredentialswillcontinuetoincreaseasmorehomesandbusinessessignupforfiber‐opticservicesincludinghighspeedInternet,video‐on‐demand,wirelessandInternet‐basedtelephoneservice,videoconferencing,electroniccommerce,andmore.BecomingaCFOTgivesyoutheopportunityforgreaterjobgrowth,increasedsalaries,andenhancedjobsecurity.Thiscoursehastwocomponents:atheorycomponentandahands‐oncomponent.Emphasisisplacedonthepracticalaspectsofworkingwithfiber‐opticcables,includingconnectorization,fusionsplicing,andtesting.

Certified Premises Cabling Technician (CPCT) NEW 

ThisFOAcertificationisfordesigners,installers,andoperatorsofpremisescablingnetworks.Premisescablingreferstobuildingandcampuscablingthatisgenerallycustomer‐ownedandusedforlocal‐areanetworksofcomputers(LANs),securitysystems(CCTVandalarms),buildingmanagementsystems,distributedantennasystems(DASforcellularandWi‐Fi),andotherapplicationslikeindustrialsystems,electricaldistributionmanagementsystems,etc.FOACPCTcertificationincludescopperandfibercablingandwirelesssystems.ItisbasedonKSAsthatrequireaknowledgeofcablingandwirelesstechnologyandstandards,alongwithdemonstratedskillsintheinstallationofcopperandfibercablingsystemtosupportnetworks.CPCTcourseswillgenerallybe50%hands‐onlabsdevelopingtheskillsnecessaryforworkingwithpremisescablingsystems.

Thetelecommunicationsprofessionalwhowantstoremainavaluablecommodityintheindustryknowsthatcontinuouseducationandtrainingisthetickettosuccess.Thisinformation‐packedcoursedeliversonthatdesirewithastrongprogram.Participantswillgraduateascertifiedfiberopticspecialistswithanemphasisonthevariousconnectorstylesandprocedures.Gaincriticalknowledgeandhands‐onexperiencewhilelearningaboutfiber‐optictermination,installationmethods,andconnectortestingprocedures.
