Erolin 3D Martial Arts COVID-19 Plan

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend we all take sensible steps to protect ourselves and others. This is essential to slow down the spread of any virus. When participating in any Erolin 3D Martial Arts related event such as our martial arts instruction, you acknowledge you are responsible for safeguarding yourself and others. With that said, we want to inform you what we are doing to safeguard you and your loved ones.

Here’s what’s happening at Erolin 3D Martial Arts:

1. The training schedule has been amended to allow: a. Students to train on-site as well as online. b. Smaller class sizes. c. Cleaning and disinfecting in between each class as mandated by LA County Public

Health. 2. The training schedule (attached separately) will remain in effect until further notice. 3. Students may attend any and all of the live streamed/online classes. 4. Students may only attend their ASSIGNED on-site class. If they will be absent, we ask they

notify Sensei Matt ASAP per the standard dojo policy. a. Class tuition payment arrangements will remain the same, regardless of class

attendance choice (online/on-site). 5. Please come to class already dressed and ready to train. There will not be an available

changing room. 6. Please have your student use your restroom AT HOME prior to class. The restroom will be

CLOSED and OFF-LIMITS. a. Special Note: Some public restrooms throughout the community and local businesses

are closed to the public. 7. Students will be required to wash their hands at the hand washing station or sanitize upon

entering the dojo. 8. The loaner sparring gear, though washed and/or disinfected, will be unavailable for use

until further notice. 9. We ask all parents and students inform us of their travel plans:

a. When AND where you will be going and for how long you will be gone b. We will compare destinations to COVID-19 hotspots c. We may ask that you self-quarantine per LA County Public Health and CDC

recommendations. 10. Private classes will still be available in either format, on-site or online. Rates will be the

same. Contact Sensei Matt to inquiry. Here’s how drop-off and pick-up will work:

1. The dojo gate will be closed and dojo door will remain locked while we clean and disinfect all of the mats and training equipment. Students may not congregate outside or in the dojo during cleaning.

Erolin 3D Martial Arts COVID-19 Plan

2. Once the dojo is disinfected and safe for student access, we will unlock the dojo door and open the dojo gate. At that time, students may enter, visiting the hand washing station beforehand.

3. To help us adhere to the maximum persons allowed guideline, we ask that ONLY THE STUDENT be in class. a. We recommend that parents and siblings remain in their vehicle while their student

trains on-site. They may log onto Zoom to observe their student’s class. 4. Please pick up your student on time. A delayed pick-up will push back the entire schedule

affecting the quality and safety of our cleaning procedures and program.

Best Practices (Prevention & Treatment): The Centers for Disease Control recommendations are found here: https://www.cdc.gov/

1. Hand washing practices will continue to apply for students and instruction team: a. After using the restroom b. After blowing nose c. After coughing, sneezing or touching your face

2. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.

3. Faces should be covered when we cough or sneeze; tissues should not be reused; they should immediately be thrown in the trash.

4. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. 5. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. 6. Stay home when you are sick. 7. Respect another person’s decision to exercise social distancing.

As mentioned, we will do our very best to ensure the health and safety of you and your

student(s). Of course, nothing is full-proof. As a reminder, student participation in on-site classes means you are accepting risk, given potential proximity to other students and parents in the dojo. Nevertheless, we appreciate you doing your part to keep everyone healthy and strong.

As always, please reach out should you have any questions, comments or concerns. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for your continued support. Doing so communicates that you believe in what we do. We are all ESSENTIAL. We’re in this together!

Together We’re Better,

Sensei Matt
