About MP-Sensor
MP-SENSOR a Technology Company located in Neuhausen in the south of Germany
near Stuttgart is a company specializing in the development and production of sensors
and switches for automation. The primary focus is on the measurement and monitoring
of pressure and vacuum. MP-SENSOR offers a full range of programmable digital
sensors for the very fast and accurate measurement and signaling in applications where
pressure or vacuum is critical to the function of a process. The range consists of

The elctronic vacuum and pressure switches of
MP-SENSOR are trendsetting in view of technolo-
gy and design.
The series „pico“ is designed as an e lectronic switch
with state-of-the-art technology and best price-
performance ratio for usage in all kind of handling
and many other industrial automation systems.
The calibrated and temperture compensated sen-
sor generates high-precision signals which are pro-
cessed by an integrated circuit and transformed to
two open collector output signals. Two switchpoints
with the corresponding hysteresis and switching lo-
gic can be adjusted independant of each other.
The programming with the push buttons can be
done with or without onstanding pressure and a
menu navigation facilitates this procedure. The
sensor can be ordered with G-thread, NPT-thread
or �ange-adapter.

3.) General procedure for adjusting settings
Setting example (OU2): - operating mode: Comparator Mode
- lower threshold PSPDD: 3,0 bar (PSVDD = -0.3 bar) - upper threshold PSPDD: 5,0 bar (PSVDD = -0.5 bar) - switching logic: normally closed (NC) - Closing delay: 0 sec. - Release delay: 0 sec.
Programming procedure (you are in measure-mode)
4.) Activate key lock The locking function ensures that the switch settings are safeguarded against
unintentional changes or manipulation. To activate the locking function, proceed as follows: Starting state is Measure-Mode => Display: applied pressure
Briefly press MODE button => Display: OU1
Press UP or DOWN button until SF Briefly press MODE button until PU

At 0 bar, the digital output is deactivated. As soon as the underpressure rises above the switching point, the output is activated. In case of a higher vacuum, the output remains activated. Basic Comments:
The digital vacuum / pressure switch series F08 can be ordered presetted or programmed by means of a 4-pole M8-connecting
cable and a manometer. Therefore connect the F08 to the system (pressure or vacuum) and teach the switchpoint, the reset-
point and the switching logic (NO / NC) by means of a pressure regulator and a manometer.
Please note, that there are differences in the way of programming between combi-switches (vacuum-/ pressure switch) and pure
vacuum or pure pressure switches.

Wiring Cable Version:
1) Intended Use:
The sensor is monitoring the system pressure within pneumatic systems (relative pressure). Permanent over pressure is not allowed.
The sensor is designed for gases only (no liquids).
2) Mounting:
The system must not be connected to pressure during connection. The M5-screw must only be tightened with 8mm-wrench (max. 1,0 Nm).
3) Electrical Connection:
The device must be connected only by a electrically skilled person. Please follow the national and international guidelines for installing
electrical equipment. Voltage supply according to EN50178, SELV, PELV.
4) Operation:
Please note that overpressure and liqid and aggressive media has to be avoided. Also the output current must not exceed the maximum rating of 200 mA. Otherwise the output transistor can be damaged.

The setting screw has a setting angle of approx. 270° and an aiming position when turning clockwise or anticlockwise. In order to avoid overtightening the screw a
maximum force of approx. 0,02 Nm is allowed.
