  • Welcome to Welcome to

Escarpment Country is centered around the Town of Milton and encompasses 380

square kilometers of lush countryside, which includes the Niagara Escarpment and

watershed areas of the 12 Mile and 16 Mile Creeks. Situated at the western gateway to

the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and in the heart of the Golden Horseshoe of southern

Ontario, Escarpment Country draws over 1.5 million visitors every year! Sports

enthusiasts are attracted by the area's hiking and biking trails, rock climbing, golf

courses, lakes and streams, and in winter, the cross country and downhill skiing and

snowboarding. Families visit Escarpment Country for the natural and man-made

attractions, fairs, festivals and farm markets. Come for a day or stay for the weekend

and you will want to return to see what Escarpment Country has to offer in spring,

    summer, fall and winter.

With a scenic view, a beautiful picnic

area, a large creative playground, a farm

animal corral and free hayrides, a visit to

Andrews' Scenic Acres is a pleasurable

    family occasion. We have been

    welcoming community visitors since

1980. At Andrews' farm there is always

something to pick from May 1 to Oct 31.

Those who visit our Winery will be

treated to a sampling of wonderful wines,

ranging from dry fruit and grape wines, to

ice type dessert wines. The name Scotch

Block Winery was chosen as a tribute to

the Scottish settlers who in 1820 were the

first European immigrants to survey and

    settle in Esquesing Township, Halton

County. Scotch Block Winery is nestled

in an area of rich, fertile, rolling farmland

of which the scenic Niagara Escarpment

    is a breathtaking backdrop.

Remember when . . . those are dubious

famous last words that generally involve

an era when one walked up hill, both

ways, to school, in snow that was

shoulder high, and there was never any

snow. But remember when . . . is the

beginning of the story that most people

want to know, and an inkling that there is

more to come. As in, remember when

horse power was defined by the number

of heads and tails swishing rather than

what was found under the hood?

Remember when you grew food for your

family and maybe five or six other people

and ate seasonally because that was the

reality of being a Canadian? Remember

when we were glad for the life that was

accorded to us because routines did not

yet exist and change was as variable as

the wind blowing through the fields?

Country Heritage Park has all of that

but adds a twist to the reminiscing. We

are rooted in our heritage, offering an 80-

acre site that is an unparalleled step back

through 185 years of Canadiana food and

farming experiences, but reveling in the

    entrepreneurial spirit of today and

highlighting the innovation for our future.

Country Heritage Park is a tapestry

painted by you, offering a respite from the

helter skelter and forging ahead with a

    community connection to farming, farm

    animals, farm equipment, tools and

    crafts, food production, preparation, rural

community life, going to school, going to

    church, attending town hall meetings,

    having harvest festivals, corn roasts,

    community auctions, having weddings,

    holding parades, farm shows and

    oooooh yuk muck.

We've got all that, the historic buildings,

the exhibits, and a growing list of events

and opportunities to visit us, and share

our space and hospitality because our

community, is your community as well.

    You will be welcome.

    The Local REALTOR Difference

If you are considering buying or selling property in Milton, there are some

compelling reasons why you should work with a REALTOR who is

registered to a brokerage within the Town.

    Why?

They have local connections; they know the local issues and the market.

    Simply put, they know Milton.

A local REALTOR will be able to market your property quickly to other

local REALTORS and their clients. They'll have a network of contacts for

other services that you may need, such as appraisers, inspectors, and

    lawyers.

Your local REALTOR will be able to advise you about Halton

Conservation regulations or Niagara Escarpment Commission restrictions as

well as future community plans and residential growth.

Milton REALTORS will know the latest trends in neighbourhoods and will

be valuable when the time comes to negotiate. They'll know whether a

property will provide the environment you are looking for and whether it is

    suitable for your needs.

A local REALTOR is a great resource to save you time and money when it

comes to buying or selling property.

For the purpose of the MadeInMilton.ca web site and the Made In Milton

public awareness campaign, a local Milton REALTOR is defined as a Member of

The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board who is registered to a brokerage office that

is located within the geographical boundaries of the Town of Milton, Ontario.
