1. Annual Rideway members please send twopassport photographs for your membership card(or photographs of horse if appropriate - see 3)

2. Cheques should be made payable to Escrick ParkEstate and sent to Escrick Park Rideways, The EstateOffice, Escrick, York, Y019 6EA.

3. Horses can become members of the Escrick ParkRideways. Seperate membership necessary for sharedhorses please telephone for details.

4. Application forms must be completed and returnedbefore riding and upon receipt we shall send youyour Membership Card and Rideways Map.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP

1. Rideways tracks are signed by black markers (Crosscountry course) or blue arrows (extended hacking). Please

follow these tracks carefully and respect the Country Code.No deviations from these routes are permitted.

2. Please carry your membership card at all times whenriding on the Rideways. Any person found riding thecourse without membership of Escrick Park Rideways will beasked to leave immediately and may be prosecuted. Please donot abuse these facilities.

3. Shooting Game. Shooting takes place around the Estatefrom mid September to the end of January. To avoid upsetwhen you hear shooting or see the shooting party, pleaseeither change course or wait until the shooting party moves

on and it is safe to continue. Regretfully it is impossible toadvise members of the exact location of the shooting alt-hough dates can be issued on request.

4. Members are asked to report any damage done to anyjumps or other property on the Estate, to enable us to keepup our standards of safety and maintenance.

5. Although we have attempted to make the course as safeas possible, Escrick Park Estate cannot be held responsible

for any damage or injury to riders, horses or their property.We recommend that riders inspect jumps at all times.

6. Approved Hard Hats and body protectors must beworn when riding and riders are advised to ride in pairs.

7. Mobile phones must be carried for contact with theEstate Office or emergencies services if required.

8. The course is open every day. We do howeverreserve the right to close any parts of the course due topoor conditions.

9. Cyclist are not allowed on the course, however, toaccompany a loan rider, special permission may be grantedby Escrick Park Estate.

10. Dogs are not allowed on the course, but may walkwith owners to the Temple and back under close control.

11. Any Riders under the age of 16 must be accompaniedby an adult.

12. Escrick Park staff and Rideways Stewards have theright to ask all riders for identification at any time.

13. All riders using the obstacles must be of a competentriding ability to attempt.

14. Escrick Park Estate will hire out the course to variousClubs and groups, including carriage driving events. A

full list of Event dates may be obtained from The EstateOffice or via our website www.escrick.com on theRideways pages.
