Classroom Paraprofessional Counts

There are currently 802 ESE classroom paraprofessionals in SAP. Based on the most recent simulation, there are projected to be 802 paraprofessionals generated: 100 schools will lose at least 1 para position72 schools will gain at least 1 para position127 schools will keep the same amount

ASD – Program 6821, Draft 1 Currently all ASD teacher units are funded at 1:4.4Recommended changes:

ASD students that are at a FEFP level of 111, 112 or 113 would generate teacher units at a ratio of 1:6.6

ASD students that are at a FEFP level of 254 or 255 would generate teacher units at a ratio of 1:4.4

As a result, less ASD – program 6821 teachers will be generated overall for students at the lower funding levels.

Consultative Teacher Allocations

Teacher ratio factors are being revised to provide more support for K-5, K-8 and K-12 schools as it relates to inclusion/consultation.

Allocations are calculated based the FTE generated from the “Y” being properly documented on the PF17 screen for all students receiving inclusion support.
